X Files - my first fandom

Watch. Blog. about the 20th Anniversary of X-Files. Probably posted
similar things here before but I'll be damned if I could find the links!!!

Anyone else here grow up with the X-Files fandom? It really was the most
immersed I have ever been in a fandom. I mean, I wrote fanfic, wrote filk,
posted to message boards EVERY WEEK. There was nothing like it. It's
amazing that I never stumbled into more mature content online, but I have
no memory of anything beyond a PG rating.

Still can't bring myself to rewatch the show...too many feels and I'm so
worried that it won't age well.

I noticed X-Files on streaming Netflix and was tempted, but like you I'm worried that it might not have aged well. Then again....I kind of feel I should.
For science.

I wasn't in fandom, but I adored the show and watched it religiously when it aired.
