First things first - for my fellow Joss fans, the letter that was included in the UK Angel : The Complete Series boxed set. I adore that man's sense of humor.

The WoW servers were down last night, it was very sad. We were looking forward to adventuring with [livejournal.com profile] simontrueheart and running into [livejournal.com profile] destertale in her horde form. But instead, we ended up playing Tales of Symphonia. Well, "playing" is a loose term there, as it took us about 30 minutes to figure out how the heck to get the controls to work. Then after that I was getting sleepy so I didn't last too much longer. But it was fun once we got the hang of it.

We finished watching House of Flying Daggers last night. That was very pretty. The story is very simple and sort of...well, you pretty much know whats going to happen as soon as you get the basic plot. But it really isn't about the story, it's about the presentation. It's about people jumping on top of trees and flying around and dodging insane amounts of bamboo shoots.

Speaking of bamboo, if you're looking for an amusing read, let me reccomend Kitchen Confidential. I'm halfway thru it now and it's just so amusing. It's about the seedy underbelly of the culinary world. Anthony Bourdain is (as Beth warned me) a total elitist and kind of a jerk, BUT he is also a very good writer.

Episode III came out on DVD today and I'm not sure it the Burger King by us has started the new toy promotions. Someone on the collector board said their BK started today but I didn't think it was actually scheduled until next week. I also got my hands on the Clone Battlepack but I'm torn about whether or not I should take them out of the box. I'm an opener by nature but they look so damn cool in the box! what to do what to DO!

Uuuuuuh, I think I had something else to say...OH! Bill alerted me to the next craze in online comics - or maybe not, but it's HIGHLY amusing: Dr. MrNinja.

Also - because it is slow at work and I'm a comments whore - a commenting meme!!! Participation is mandatory! Except that it's not. But it would make these last few hours go by faster. So pretty please?

btw - this was totally gakked from [livejournal.com profile] gypsyjr

Not going to do the meme because I don't have a complaint about you! :)

they look so damn cool in the box!

Did you get the 500th Vader? Talk about looking cool in the box..

yeah, I didn't bother picking him up, mostly because I feel as though I have enough Vaders. Plus, he really did have to stay in the box because the packaging was such a big part of it. I have my C3 Vader and he's in the box and he's my special vader hehe.

Honestly, I want my gorram PADMES and LEIAS!!!! Hasbro says they are making a Snow Bunny Padme next year!!! It's gonna be a store exclusive for someone, but that's one I'd be willing to wake up early for!

*squee* Snowbunny Padme! Ooh I definitely need to keep my eyes peeled for that one.. I didn't even know about the Tatooine and Wedding Padmes from Episode II until last year, but luckily my dad knows how much I love Padme, so he had picked them up. I didn't know he had bought them until I was stealing Geonosis Padme to use as a costume reference--I absolutely freaked out. :)

wait, Tatooine Padme? Which one is that?

I have the wedding Padme. She's on my bookshelf holding her little bouquet.

This one.
With Cloak on..

Yay for wedding Padme! The only thing I don't like about the Padme figures is that they look a lot like Paris from Gilmore Girls...

OMG WHY DON'T I HAVE THAT!!!!! I think I miss that one :( I swear, the later Padme's were really hard to find. I remember searching all over for the wedding one. Wow. I am teh jealous.

The only padme I have that I consider hard to find was from Episode I in her senate gown...I had a friend from Ohio send that to me. Never did see her around here.

We never got Senate Gown Padme.. I never liked that outfit, and my dad only gets the random Padmes because of me. I'm mad they only had one Padme for ROTS... they should make a Sleepless Knights Padme (the lavendar nightgown) that cries. Poor Padme. Reduced to a teary-eyed preggers Senator, and for what? To be Force-choked by her ingrateful (and whiny and abusive but really hot) husband. Tsk tsk.

yeah, I'm miffed there is only one Padme in the new 2006 line. ANd only one Leia too! I mean, wtf, how many freakin' Anakin's and Luke's do we need? They never change outfits!!! It's so very frustrating.

hahahaha, I can see the box now for PJ Padme - now with REAL TEARS! Sqeeze her legs and let the hormones RAGE! hahahaha. Comes with a cloth so you can shine her face up for your own balcony scene.

yeah it really does look sweet in the box, I might have to find some way to arrange the toys so the box is sorta hidden on the sides or something...hm...

What you do is buy the Clone gunship, and set up the little Clones inside. :D (Hi there, by the way! *waves*) I saw that set at Target last week, and even though I'm still miffed at the Clones, I so wanted it. :( But, I had just bought the Lava-reflective Obi-Wan and Anakin a couple days before. :/

*waves back*

I actually pondered the purchasing of a clone gunship but those things are HUGE! So it's probably best I just leave them in the box. I saw the Lava Anakin and Obi too, but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for one little figure. Opted for the clones instead.

*laughs* Yeah, I couldn't decide on the gunship, the ARC-170, or Anakin's yellow starfighter, so I asked the wee man to choose. He went with the ARC-170. But, you could always get the gunship, and suspend it from the ceiling studs and set your little clones in that. Then, they can be flying, and out of your way. :D (I know, it's a stretch, but you have to admit, it would be pretty fun... :D)

*sigh* that's how my playroom was decorated by at my parents house...Millenium Falcon dangling from the ceiling...and my model of the scout trooper on his speeder bike...it was so cool. Maybe one day when I have my own house that I own I can start punching holes in the ceiling. I already know I want a star wars room. :)

That's what we're planning on doing with all the mini Lego kits that we have. (The wee man likes to play with them, and make them "blow up", thus scattering their little Lego pieces all over the room. o_O) B always had his model airplanes suspended from the ceiling as a child, too. :D As for my and my big sis' SW toys... my Mom did the kindly thing and donated them all to our bratty cousins. :(

that's what happened to [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy's toys - his parents gave them to the neighbor kids or something. It's very sad. My parents are pack rats so my star wars toys are safe (I'm a bit concerned about some other childhood things though)

Awww... :( It totally sucks when you can remember what you once had. But at least I'm like your parents... I know G's toys are safe. :D I hope your parents have whatever you think may have been lost. :)

not so much lost as chewed upon - our dog has a nose that gets her into trouble and she loves gnawing on hard plastic and ripping the innards out of stuffed toys. :/ the playroom is usually closed up now, so hopefully everything is safe.

see, I'm an opener so it feels weird having it in the box, but it just looks so damn cool! I think I'll leave it in the box for awhile, maybe do like I did with my Indiana Jones figure and wait for the box to get damaged then open it. I love Joss notes too. He is so the man.

Joss's letter made me weep. But only a bit. It just makes me sad thinking about what Angel would have been like if had gotten another season. or at least if he had known from the very begining that the 5th was going to be the last. it was a great trip while it lasted though. One comment however. "76% platonic" my ass! Mark my words, when the Buffy/Angel cast is in their 70's theres going to be some freaky deaky revelations. Indeed.

playing drums with lima beans thing

what else would I call it? We're doing that at the Kung Fu Hustle party, right? I've been practicing!

That scene pretty much summed up the whole movie right there - a feeling of "wtf?!" but "oooooh so pretty" for a good chunk of time. That and the "OMG SHE IS TOTALLY PLAYING HIM" feeling.

but it's okay because Zhang Ziyi is so nice to look at. I could watch her for ours just staring meaninfully at a tree. She's got such a great face. *adds her to the list of girl!crushes*
