Well, we're back in the ol' MD. Actually, we got back last night but I was sorta braindead from the drive and didn't have the energy for a real post hehe. Oh, but aren't you lucky, I got a full nights sleep and I'm back! haha.
Thanksgiving went well, we ate a lot of food. Even managed to get some sushi on friday night as an appetizer (though no boat...just a little tray...why does sushi taste better on the big boat?)
Yesterday, before we left, we stopped at TUNES. That is the best used cd store ever. I was so bad. I did a bit of Sam shopping. I consider it a reward...um...for something I can't tell you about yet but I will soon, hopefully Monday. Shhhhhhhh. Anyway - I picked up the new Liz Phair album for $5 (it was a promo copy so they techincally aren't supposed to be selling it), also snagged the first Aimee Mann album cuz I'm on an Aimee Mann kick at the moment, and the latest Devlins album because I like that guys voice and it was only $7. And I broke down and bought the new Imogean Heap album because I adore my Frou Frou CD and I read reviews that she sounds more frou frou on this album than usual. I havent' actually *listened* to any of the CDs yet though -
jimithingy's car cd player went a little crazy and started eating some CDs awhile back, so I didn't want to pop in a new one and have it get munched upon. So we just had Guster and some other random mixes playing on the way home. Which means I probably sang the whole time and
jimithingy had to suffer thru it, but he didn't say anything so I love him hehe.
Mrs Smith kept asking us for xmas lists so she got me all focused on shopping. I made a list of what I want to get people and started organizing my amazon list and things like that. So far, I think I have at least an idea for most of the people on my list, though I'm trying to figure out what to get
jimithingy's 11 year old cousin and his 3 year old niece. We're getting his nephew the Galactic Heroes Millenium Falcon cuz how coudl he not love that? Hm. Of course, I have plenty of time, I just like to plan ahead, then forget that I planned ahead, then find the list a week before christmas and panic. It's how I work.
We're going over to Bill&Beth's tonight to help set up their new sound system that Bill won from Target. Should be amusing.
zaubervz downloaded 'The Movies' over the holiday so he was telling me all about it yesterday. Hopefully I will have a copy to try out real soon. Sounds like a fun time. Other than that, I plan on chilling today and just enjoying the being home-ness of it all. :)
