Wow, it has been non-stop action here since Friday!

Perri, [livejournal.com profile] simontrueheart, [livejournal.com profile] blu_harvest, [livejournal.com profile] destertale, Bill and Beth all met up with us at the Tokyo Cafe in Columbia for some yummy sushi to celebrate my getting-a-full-time-jobness. Had myself some Edamame, a LOT of delicious sushi, and finished it off with a fried banana with coconut sauce stuff. So yummy. After that, we went back to Alan & Perri's for some silly DVDs - finally got to see the Rick James Chapelle's Show sketch plus we watched a few classic Ben Stiller sketches.

Then yesterday we went to downtown DC. I saw The Comedy of Errors at the Shakespeare Theatre with [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy's mom, while him and his dad went to see Aeon Flux. The play was fantastic! Seriously, if you have the time or the cash, just go see this production, it was laugh out loud funny. I was worried I wouldn't get a single joke since I wasn't familiar with this play at all, but it was great. After that, we went to a bar for drinks to wait for [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy's brother and sister-in-law to show up for dinner. We had dinner at this fantastic Italian restaurant, the Odeon Cafe. Oh man, the food was great, great atmosphere, fantastic service. They had the most delcious red wine I think I've ever had. And I topped the whole thing off with a cannoli and cappucciono. mmmmmm. So bad for me, yet so good.

Today was the DCSWCC winter social. That was a lot of fun! We had to do a Target run before hand because I forgot to buy anything for the gift swap. So I ran in and grabbed the PEZ collector's set that was there. It was about an hour away, but we had fun playing PTcruiser punch buggy on the drive down. I did not do well though, AD won with like 6 to 1. We got there, ate lots of food, lots of chatting. Lots of babies there haha. I got my picture taken with Santa Yoda and snapped a few of the White Wampa table, the gift swap. I managed to snag a Vader Unleashed! I was cracking up since I got the Grievous Unleashed at the summer social. Apparently, I'm unconciously collecting them! Hm, does this mean I have an excuse to buy the Palpy vs. Yoda unleashed?

*someone* slipped me a copy of the Serenity DVD leak too. So now I don't have to hold out until christmas...I think I'll just watch it and save the special features for my actual dvd haha.

Now we're home again. Weather man keeps saying "snow snow snow" but we ain't seen nuthin!

omg, that last picture was SO confusing. The only way I could tell which one was you was to assume that since you were on the left in the other pictures that you'd be on the left in that picture. That was a spot-on Yoda impression. If only GL had seen you, they wouldn't have needed a CGI Yoda. :P

Mmmm sounds like you had a yummy weekend. I wish I could have eaten food like that all weekend.. *jealous*

Good luck w/the snow business. :) I wish we would get some! But what we call snow is a mere flurry to y'all.. if we get an inch everyone goes crazy and raids the grocery store. *sigh* I love Tennessee..

my years of practice finally paid off!!!

Hm...maybe if GL does an episode of the TV show Yoda, I can work as his stunt double.

Yeah, far too much yummy food, especially since it's only been a week since the yummy food happenings of Thanksgiving.

Where I live in Maryland, they are snow panickers too. One little flake and the schools are closed then the kids get extra days in the summer. If you drive 2 hours north, they laugh at us for what we panic over. I'm sure the grocery store will be out of milk and bread by 5 today...why is it always milk and bread? Exactly what can you make out of that?

I'm conflicted on whether or not I should get the Yoda vs Palpy Unleashed. I mean, they look awesome, but I'm not a huge collector of either. *shrugs* I better decide quick, though, before they take them from the shelves. o_O
