beginning of a beautiful friendship

orangerfulI watched the first episode of Freaks and Geeks today with lunch. I had no idea how many people that I like were in that show! Linda (Velma from the Scooby Doo movies) Cardellini! John Francis (dorky guy from Kitchen Confidential) Daley! Seth (friend in 40 year old Virgin) Rogen! Joe (SCTV) Flaherty! And lots of other people that I shake my hand and go "it's that guy/girl!!!" when I see them on the screen! Oh, and James Franco, who I don't really like anyway, but people say he's hot right now.
And the first episode was amusing. It felt like a pilot, but it was a lot of fun to watch. Weee! I'm actually excited to watch the rest of the series...sadly, another show cancelled in it's first season. And speaking of cancelled shows, it looks like the creator of F&G has written a few episode of Arrested Development! No wonder I connect to his other stuff!
and don't forget - ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT TONIGHT AT 8PM ON FOX, it's your last chance to catch new episodes of the funniest comedy ever!
I'm *this* close to finishing my 2005 mix. Just need to find a few more songs to fill up 80 minutes. It's been rough, as I didn't really buy any new stuff this year. And some of the new stuff I do have I wasn't overly impressed with. So, I'm breaking a few rules of mine - doubling up on albums and artists. But my mix will be so fantastic that you won't care! You'll see.
So, apparently the new thing that's hip for the kids is a site called Runescape. There are a ton of kids on the PCs right now logged into that game. Looks like it's the poor man's WoW. Even the poor man's Puzzle Pirates, since it doesn't require you to download anything.
