blu_harvest was there, along with Stephanie. We watched some really horrible movies, and has it not been for the filter of Mike and the 'bots, we may have suffered serious injury. I mean, any movie called 'Future War' should be avoided at all costs. It was baaaaad. So bad. We also watched some strangem movie made in Mexico called 'Santa Claus'. The devil tries to make all the kids act bad so Santa will not like them...hilarity ensues. Santa gets stuck up a tree and only his friend Merlin can help him! Yes, I said MERLIN.
We also watched a couple of the "shorts". Among them - 'Young Man's Fancy', which was all about how to 1) trap a hot guy and 2) purchase the best electric appliances. The subtext in that one was rapidly becoming text when the brother says he's "bringing a friend home from college" who has "no time for girls" and then arrives home and announces they are going upstairs to take a shower! Then, while one shaves, the other is in the shower. Shaver asks if the other has enough hot water because "he was under for quite a long time". Ah, the innocence of the 1950s short film.
We also watched one that was about personal hygeine which was targeted towards COLLEGE STUDENTS! The jist of the film? Guys - be clean. Girls - scrub up good, do your hair, smell pretty, wear makeup or there is no reason for a man to treat you "like a human being". No joke, they actually said the human being thing.
Then we teamed up for a game of Scene It. Stephanie and I roxxored. Though we were high rollers so that helped. Bill & Beth were close second withjimithingy & blu_harvest in 3rd, but catching up. They kept rolling ones though. That game is such a good time with a big group.
Anyway, good times all around. We laughed, we ate pizza, and we laughed.
Hope everyone else's weekend is going well. After I get out of work today, we're probably going to go wander Arundel Mills in the hopes of getting those last few presents for random people.
