weathermen are pathological liars (v2.0)

I tried to type this once and it's got CRAZY here at the library. Everyone is in checking out DVDs and books because last night the forecast was "OMG HEAVY SNOW RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"

and, right now, the most we've had is a bit of a drizzle of rain. weather.com still swears that we will have some sort of snow tonight. Last night the predictions ranged from 1-16 inches of snow. I wish I could be so vague in the job that I do.

It's pathetic. Especially after the weathermen got my hopes up of a day off last night. I shouldn't have stayed up playing Lumines until 3am. I jinxed myself.

In other news - my birthday is exactly 3 weeks away as all the books that have been checked out today are due March 4th.

I think this might be my new favorite icon...

yep, so much snow that we lost power around 2am! No power (meaning heat and the noisy fan that we're used to sleeping with on) until around 10am this morning.

We got snow in Nashville, but it didn't stick on the roads or anything. It barely covered the ground, but it was enough to make my mom want to keep me in town until tomorrow. *headdesk* I managed to escape though... haha.

Our power went out too last night, but that's just because our street sucks and the power HAS to go out at least once or twice a year for no reason.
