They have been cutting something outside of our window for the past 3 hours. I do not know what though because I can't see them from this angle. It's really annoying though.

We watched a good portion of 'Reefer Madness' last night. (The Showtime musical version with Kristen Bell & Alan Cummings, not the actual 1930s propaganda film.) I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] verdatum, it was a little too long. But thanks to the magic of the DVD, we were able to skip to all the songs with Kristen and enjoy the sheer goofiness of Veronica Mars singing about S and M. And my love for Alan Cummings grows every time I see him. He improves every movie just by popping in and saying hello. [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy came to the conclusion that he only acts in films that he will have fun making and it always shows. 'Reefer Madness' wasn't that great, but every time he was on screen it seemed like there was hope of it being something more.

I have to say though, the Jesus song had me rolling. It was just totally insane. That and I got all of the inside jokes which made it funnier. I knew all those years of sunday school would pay off eventually! ;)

OH!!!!!! and a bit THANK YOU to [livejournal.com profile] blu_harvest who gave me a $20 gift certificate to the comic shop down the street! Yes, I'm pretty sure it's revenge for me giving him WoW for christmas...is it possible to stop after the first free hit? oh, I doubt it. But still...what should I get?? Should I snag some Brian K Vaughan? Warren Ellis? Or should I attempt to branch out??

[livejournal.com profile] blu_harvest also let me borrow the latest issue of 'Next Wave' which is just ri-goddamn-diculous. "Fin Fang Foom, I put you in my pants!" WTF? haha. Ellis is totally insane but it's okay because he makes me giggle alot. What a strange strange little comic. I keep reading the bit with Father Blood Drench Robot Crush over and over as it just cracks me up...I think it's the last panel where he's just slumped over the tea table. "Leave alone...now fleshy." aaaaaaaw. Poor Father Blood Drench Robo Crush!

Hahahahah! Yes, the first hit is free , and then you want more, more! ... seriously, comics are basically paper crack. Whatever you buy, I hope you enjoy it. :)

Don't get Ultra Violet unless the comic is different from the movie. That movie was just horrible.

books/comics are usually superior to their movie renditions...but I really wasn't going to get that one anyway hehe...I heard rumors of a comic with a librarian superhero though...
