comics, yay!
Mar. 18th, 2006 02:50 pmBeing the BKV fangirl that I am, I was reading his website today for any comic updates (especially since I still have that gift certificate from
blu_harvest to spend).
ANYWAY - for those of you that have yet to experience the greatness of 'Runaways' or 'Y The Last Man', both of the first issues of these comics are available online!
Marvel has set up a Digital Comics site which is pretty cool, you'll see Runaways in the list right there. I just read the first few pages. I reccomend taking it off "Smart Panel" and just scrolling it yourself. I love how 'Runaways' opens. Still makes me giggle. This also has the Joss seal of approval - need I say more?
Vertigo just has a PDF up of the first issue of 'Y' which everyone should read!! The writer of Penny Arcade just said it was his favorite comic too!
Oh! and look! DC Comics has also put up the first issue of 'Ex Machina'! For those of you that enjoy some politics with your superheroing, this is a great read. It sounds incredibly boring (ex-superhero because mayor of post 9/11 NYC) but it's fascinating. Yes, download that PDF while you're at it...
okay, off to see 'V for Vendetta'....not a Brian K Vaughan comic...
