So, I've been flopping around for the past few weeks.
blu_harvest notified me that there might be openings at his branch, the branch where a lot of my buddies work. Then I got to thinking, would I want to transfer? Could I transfer? I'm in the middle of so many things at work, would I want to switch? What are the pros and cons of working in a community branch versus a area branch? I've got so many projects and programs that I've started at work, I couldn't switch and hand them off to someone else? But if I was at an area branch, I would have more power? Or would I? I just......couldn't....decide.
I was stressing daily over this.
Today I saw that they announced the openings. And today I saw that the transfer date falls short of my sixth month anniversary - which means I am not even allowed to put in a transfer request.
So there. The decision was made for me. That was nice.
I would like to switch to that branch later on, but not quite yet. I want to sorta make a name for myself where I am now. Then perhaps move on to the bigger building. :)

I did one of my interviews at just a bit over 5 months once, especially since once they were done with figuring stuff out, it would have been even closer to 6. It's also not a bad idea to let them know that you may be interested in working somewhere else (or change between full-time and job-share or something), even if there isn't currently a spot available like you're looking for. Just FYI =)
I'm stuck with wondering about the spot opening up at MDC again. I have no idea who is going to be the branch manager there now though. *sigh* I'd hate to switch and then not be happy there, so I know how ya feel. =P

Yeah, I haven't heard a single rumbling on who wants to move to MDC yet...even asked Michael last week but he didn't seem to really know anyone. I'm very curious to see who they get.
