equality is not a concept.
Jun. 19th, 2006 10:45 pmthank you to
whitemartyr and the good people over at
whedonesque for bringing this to my attention:
Joss Whedon's 'Equality Now' speech
Even if you're not a Joss fan, these are words that are good to hear. That make sense.
I just...in a time when two of my oldest heroes (George Lucas and Paul McCartney) seem to have lost their minds, Joss is still so down to earth, so funny, still on his mission. He may make me insanely angry/depressed because he bumps off my favorite characters but I still adore his mind. If I could just mind-meld with him for five minutes!
Now I must find a transcript of his speech so I can print it out and stick it on my wall and read it every day.
