orangerfulHow did I miss this press release? In the works: a labirynth and mirrormask prequel and sequel mangas?! This release is from July 2005 so I'm not sure how far they've gotten or if they were scrapped or what, but still, this would be pretty darn cool.

verdatum came over on Saturday and we watched the first DVD of the FMA anime, which I really enjoyed. I had Alphonse's voice ALL WRONG! For some reason, I forgot he was only 14. (It's like Arthur Dent and his bathrobe - when you're reading the story you can forget that he's always wearing that thing, but in the movies, he's right there and you're like "oh dear, that poor poor man".) Now I really want to read the manga series just to compare and contrast how the anime unfolds. Already in the first few episodes there were quite a few differences.
Next up,blu_harvest reccomended 'gravitation' and destertale told me to give 'fruits basket' a try, so I have volume 1 of both of those sitting right here...hm...who to read first...
OH! I also just finished 'Amelia Rules!', a cute little J Fiction graphic novel. The art style reminded me of Charlie Brown but it was a very modern kids comic that didn't talk down to the reader at all. Lots of little jokes and bits for the pop culture inclined. Pajamaman is awesome.
