splatter-ific!

I just watched the first 3 episodes of 'Dexter' and I think I like it! It's a little creepy, a little cooky, mysterious and....why do I have this sudden urge to snap my fingers?

If you don't know what it is, 'Dexter' is about a man who works for the police department and analyzes blood splatters. And when he's not doing that, he's killing people. But it's okay, he might be a serial killer, but he only KILLS serial killers. See how that is? *snap snap*

Michael C. Hall is an odd looking man. He's so boxy. But it works! He's just the right amount of sorta-attrative mixed with the something-ain't-right, especially with the odd hair and scruffiness they've given him. The actress who plays the sister reminds me of Zooey Deschanel, but not in a "hm they look alike" but more in a botched body switch way. Not quite sure of my opinion of her (or I guess her character, no idea what she's actually like). OH! And Julie Benz ("Darla" from TV's Angel...(I love when they say that "TV's Angel", was there another one??)) is a regular cast member, Dexter's girlfriend.

So, yeah, I just ordered the book from the library. Hopefully it won't be too spoilery!

I love the show and I love Michael C. Hall. He was on 6 Feet Under and was so very different in that. I almost didn't recognize him in this. He's doing a marvelous job.

I'm also jazzed about Julie Benz. Plus there are a few folks from Oz. And I adore James Remar who's playing dad.

jimithingy was into 'Six Feet Under' so I watched the last couple seasons with him. And you're right, Hall is doing a great job with 'Dexter'! He's almost lucky to be as "odd looking" as i mentioned above, he can take roles like this, things that "pretty" stars might be told not to take because it might damage their poster boy image.

I'm just wondering if they'll have any of the Six Feet Under cast guest star. It would be nice to see them pop up ala the Whedon people showing up on Veronica Mars! haha.

Oh yes, that would be cool. I'd love to see the actress who played the sister guest star, uh, Lauren Ambrose or something like that. I'm too lazy to look up her name.

Tho my fav guest role in recent times was Alexis Denisoff on How I Met Your Mother last season. Too funny.
