*phew* this week has already wore my out!

Monday, we had our WoW raid and got our booties kicked by Razorgore yet again - though we are improving! We made it all the way to phase 3, we just never had enough priests alive to finish.

Yesterday, I worked day (woke up extra early too so I could go vote) and then went to a concert with zaubervz. He had invited me to go see 'Death Cab for Cutie' at DAR Constitution Hall, so I figured why not! It rained on us, but not too hard and the show was pretty good. I know a whopping 2 of their songs, but they were fun to bop around to. I enjoy the main guys voice. I didn't wear my glasses the whole show, though, so I just pretended he was a really skinny version of Jack Black (he had the same hair). That made it pretty amusing hehe.

We didn't get home from that until 1am! So I passed out when I got home, completely forgetting about the election madness that was going on. I was so out of it this morning when I woke up and everyone was talking about it. It had gone right out of my head, Tuesday had been so long!

And so today, I went into work at noon because I was helping out at Broadneck Elementary school for their familiy reading night. I had to read to three large groups of school age kids. It was fun, I found a bunch of books that I think I will use again (Dooby Dooby Moo, Edwina the Dinosaur that Didn't Know She Was Extinct, and Stephanie's Ponytail -- if you have any younglings in your family these are sure to please as holidays gifts)

And now I am home, waiting for Lost (Nathan Fillion is guest starring!!!!) and then I'll probably watch 'Heroes' and 'Veronica Mars' before passing out.

I'm still planning on ordering my MINI on Friday. w00t.

yay for voting! I was thinking of reminding you to vote, since the MD Senate race was an important one, but I didn't know if that would be obnoxious. Oh me of little faith.. you didn't need reminding :-) In fact, you even got up early, which means you have it all over me in the civic duty department.

Glad you and Vincent got to see DCFC. I really need to see them- I think I've missed them twice in Boston just this year. A skinnier Jack Black isn't all that bad a description of the singer, actually, at least from the little I've seen. Who opened for them?

yes, my mom drilled it into me when I was younger that if I did not vote, she would get me! So I had to have my "I Voted" sticker on if I was going over to visit them! ;-)

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists opened for DCFC. They were...noisy. Didn't care much for them.

Ah, Ted Leo etc opened for B&S (along with Broken Social Scene) at Merriweather (aka, "the night I almost tripped over Stuart"). They were first, so I missed them whilst being lost in Columbia. They seem to be everywhere these days. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

yeah the DCFC lead made a point to say that they hand picked the people they tour with but I'm never sure if they are required to say that or not. It felt like (at least to me) that the record people looked at DCFC and said "hm...these guys are really average looking guys, let's team them up with a and that has even MORE average looking guys!"

Because Ted Leo & The Pharmacists? Yeah, not going to be coverboys any time soon.
