Wii-tastic!

orangerfulOkay, so I've gotten to play Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, and more of Wii Sports now. And let me say - yowza!!!!
Zelda is Zelda - which is to say, it is TEH AWESOME! I understand some of the complaints about the graphics, the textures in the backgrounds have a few jagged edges, but Link! And his PONY! aaaaw! (Link is now Sammie and Epona is Willow in my game). OMG it is SO fun to ride my horsie! I've only just started encountering bad guys but the sword fighting is so much fun! I had to stop right after Link got zapped into the Twilight realm, so I don't know what the wolf-Link gameplay is like yet, but I'll let you know!
Super Monkey Ball : Banana Blitz is a party game, similar to Mario Party in the spazzy-ness of it all. Though, ironically, the games require a lot of finesse. We didn't bother hooking up the nunchucks for this one, so we only did the basic wii-mote games. Those were tough enough! Throw darts, do a ring toss, catch fish in a net, herd sheep, find the numbers, whack a mole - lots of games that require a steady hand and quick thinking. I can already see that this game will be lots of fun when our gang is over. :)
Wii Sports - we played Bowling, Golf, and Baseball. Bowling was pretty simple to pick up the controls. You just...well you bowl with the wii-mote. Same with Golf, you just swing the wii-mote like a club. jimithingy's pitches!!! Neither of us ever scored a point, but it was still fun. (and yes, I admit I am the Gabe to jimithingy's Tycho)
jimithingy also bought "Trauma Center", which he said was the highest reviewed game after Zelda. I had heard about the DS version of this game, I think this must be a sequal. Haven't played it yet, but you're a surgeon and you have to do surgery...eeeeeew.
