yeah, well, season 1 was solid enough that if they never made another season (or if season 2 is horrible) we can just pretend it only ever had one season. They resolve most of the stuff, with just enough dangling threads that a plot for next season is feasible...it seems a lot of tv shows are doing that now adays, perhaps because of DVDs...
Good stuff though. When it comes out on DVd, you should definately rent it
