I know I don't need anymore Buffy figures but this girl is selling her collection and she has all the OLD figures, a lot of the first wave, that I don't have! I'm so tempted to go on ebay and bid...tempted enough that I actually went and found my ebay password and logged in to "watch" the items. *meep*

The FINALLY got done with the living room "touch ups" this morning, so I can put the bookshelf back together. I did my desk last night, changed it up a little bit - the shelf on the bottom is now the all-firefly-all-the-time shelf with Mal & Jayne guarding the trading cards and the Serenitiy model and all of my books to their right. Which means the top shelf is now all Buffy & Angel, so all of those figurse are up there. I set the library back up in pretty much the same way it was before.

I've started DVR'ing '30 Rock' because [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy's mom kept telling me about it. I find it quite amusing. I can't believe a show with Lorne Michaels' name on it can make me laugh! haha.

Oh, and 'Lost' last night - I was pretty happy with that.

Though I think I might start watching 'Lost' the way I used to watch '24' - just fast foward thru the stories I don't care about. Mainly this means skipping the flashbacks. Since this was the obligatory "torture" episode for the season, I sorta just buzzed thru all of that bit and only watched the part taking place in the now. Though I have to ask (and I asked [livejournal.com profile] demonqueen666 already) exactly when did Locke lose his brain? How could he not know that something would happen when he hit "77". And why would he just sit there and play computer the whole time? He used to be so good at picking up on stuff, but Sayid was able to figure it all out and Locke is just playing chess...?? wtf? I hope they find his brain (and his cool) very soon. It's like the writers can only handle on character at a time, and Sayid was the character this week so everyone else was a moron. ?

Note to Sayid: Next time you see a huge binder that says "DHARMA: THE SECRETS TO THE ISLAND" on the front cover - at least flip through it!!! And then immediately shove it down your pants!!! Do not, I repeat, do not reshelve it!

All shows should have kitties.

Locke was being especially stupid this week. He's had his dumb moments before, as have most of the characters, but this was just above and beyond.

I just don't understand - he was so cool in s1, he kept me watching because he was sort of this loose cannon. They kept hinting at this "sickness" that drove people mad, and you kept waiting for Locke to snap, and that was some good TV. But now, after 3 seasons, it's like they don't know what to do with him anymore. And last week was just "wha??" as far as his behavior goes.

I think that's it exactly, actually. Because they've done this before; whoever's week it is gets to OhSoSpeshul while everyone else hangs out in the background like "duuur?" -_-

I'm afraid to look, because I'm trying to talk myself out of bidding. Plus, she had down $8 for shipping (though she said if you won on multiple items, the shipping would be less) but with each item starting at $9, that ends up being a lot even before you've place a bid!

But, then again, these figures are probably 8 years old!

Probably better to focus my attention on watching the BSG DVDs...which I'll get into just as those figures come out!!!

zomg Buffy figures. I've always wanted me some Buffy figures but the ones I want are always like a million dollars or something (ok, thats an overstatement, but not by much.). I keep on hearing about 30 rock too! but i always mix it up with 3rd rock.

All shows should have kitties.

With names like Miss Kitty Fantastico. Yes.

I only collect basic figures, which are still more expensive than the Star Wars figures I get (basic star wars figs are about $6, Buffy figs are about $10-15). There are some beautiful Buffy statues, but I'm not dropping $200 on a single collectible, when I could get so many more with that money! haha.
If you're bored, you can see some pics of my figures here. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/orangerful/339267158/in/set-72157594402743690/)

Yeah, the 30 Rock/3rd Rock thing did confuse my brain too. I think it didn't even register as a new show to me because I used to be a 3rd Rock fan and that's all I was hearing.

With names like Miss Kitty Fantastico. Yes.
I also have a Kitty Fantastico figure (she came with the Willow & Tara set). I keep Kitty as far away from Dawn (and the crossbow) as possible.

Fast-forwarding? That's what I usually do with everything, actually. Well, mostly 24.

I only watched the first couple seasons - my mom and I hated Kim with a passion (she was just too dumb!!) so we'd skip her portion of the show as much as we could. The last few episodes were always painful though, because she'd end up with Jack and we'd be forced to hear her *shudder* SPEAK!

I saw the first 10 minutes of 30 Rock last night because I was too lazy to turn off the TV after The Office, and it was pretty good! I may start watching regularly. I do agree with the person above who said that the 30 Rock/3rd Rock thing is a problem. You'd think someone would have pointed that out to them. (I can even give you a linguistic analysis of why the two names sound almost identical. Just like I can provide an analysis of why the "rural juror" joke was funny on last night's ep. Sigh- I really need to get this degree and stop boring people with talk of linguistics. And trust me, after today's classes, my students would TOTALLY agree with that!)

but I like it when you talk of linguistics! In fact, I'm requesting a [livejournal.com profile] beckanon post about the 30 Rock/3rd Rock problem AND the "rural juror" joke right now! Go on...I'll wait here, I'm just cleaning the apartment, need something to keep my distracted.
