Things that made today rule:

After listening to all the motivational speakers talk about all these workplaces where people are miserable, I realized how much I love my job, the people I work with, and the place I am in my life.

After we left, the sun was shining, so I got to drive home with my top down.

In fact, I got home EARLY because the seminar ended early.

And soon, SUSHI!

*hugs Friday*

I love my bosses most of the time. I still desperately need a drink today.

who doesn't need a drink by friday? I love my boss and my coworkers, but after trying to train 3 17 year olds to put books away, run a meeting, going to an all day book discussion group, and this seminar today - I need a drink too!

*cheers*

I feel I need a double if that's the case. It's been a trying one. I work for a lawyer and while I can deal with him just fine, everyone else drives me up the wall!

nice post :-)

I've been reluctantly dipping my toe into the job market, and it occurs to me every now and then that it would be cool to work in a library. Your job sounds like it gets more interesting all the time.

I had sushi tonight too! Cooked, of course :-) Now off to watch the last ep of BSG disc 2 or 3, depending on how you're counting. Disc 3/4 should show up tomorrow.

ooh yes, I love my job. :) I don't know what Boston Public is like as far as hiring people without masters, but if you can get in, I bet you'd like it. :) All that random jeopardy like knowledge that you carry around suddenly comes in handy!

yay for BSG. I want to watch an episode tonight. We only have 2 left in season 2.5 so I've been stalling to watch them since season 3 isn't out on DVD yet. (Sci-Fi is rerunning them but then I have to wait a whole week!) I assume if you've made it to disc 3/4 that you're enjoying the show?

yeah, I think the show is great. I figure I'll post something about it when I'm done with season 1. I'm behind on my movie reviews too.. I've been sick with one thing or another the past 5 weeks (I just counted), so I haven't had much energy to do anything that isn't essential. Blah.

ew 5 weeks? That's not fun at all! I hope you're feeling better soon! Can't wait to hear about what movies you've watched, the theaters haven't had much worth seeing recently.

We just got 'stranger than fiction' from netflix (the will ferrell movie) but haven't watched it yet. I hope it's good for a giggle.

Yay! I know what you mean. There are hardships, and irritating people, but the library is a pretty great place to be. And BDN in specific always seemed spiffy to me too when I visited.
