So, I have my DVR set up to record the new season of Sesame Street that started this week. I watched the first episode already. Tina Fey was the guest star. She and some other pirates that loved books (Bookaneers) arrived on the Street. Pirates of the Care-to-be-readin'. Anyhoo, then Elmo wanted to be a Bookaneer too, so he had to pass the test, and in the end, he had a treasure map that took him to the library! And all the pirates had library cards. And I had this little geekspasm of joy haha.

Brian Williams also had a short bit where he talked about the animal of the day - squid. (wanna see the clip? Look in the comments to this post for a link)

Abby Cadabby had one song that she did about words that rhyme. She is still adorable. *points to icon*

I also finished watching LotR:RotK and teared up at the end. I've seen that movie however many times now, but I still tear up, right at the moment when Aragorn says "My friends, you bow to no one". Oh Viggo, please do a movie where you are cool again. 'Hidalgo' was okay, but could have been better. And 'History of Violence'? Um, let's just pretend that never happened. *shudder*

btw - can you all see my last post (Lobster Bake photos on Flickr) on your friend's list? [livejournal.com profile] bittertwee said it's not showing up on hers, and now I'm wondering if, when I post from Flickr with the "Blog This" button, if LJ is eating my entries on your flist.

I would *love* to see that Sesame Street! It sounds almost as good as the Reading Rainbow episode where Levar Burton went to the set of ST:TNG!

On my f-list, your lobster bake thing didn't show. I can see when I look at your journal (as opposed to my f-list), though.

I just love Sesame Street - it's a children's show, but it manages to have a few throwaway lines for grown ups to enjoy so it doesn't rot your teeth like so many modern "kids shows".

Okay, I will have to keep in mind that my Flickr posts are not showing up. Maybe I will just link to the photos from now on.

Good Day and Good Squid:

(After reading that "squid" was the word of the day, I had to track this down for a friend of mine who is a big fan of the word, so I thought I'd share)
