What a beautiful day! It was in the 80s. A little bit humid, but a nice breeze. We tried to stay in the shade for most of RenFest (except for the Joust, which I'm pretty sure will give me pink cheeks later).

Had lots of silly fun just wandering and catching random shows here and there as we peeked into the shops. I made sure to hit up The Bee Folks shop. Last year, we bought their Blueberry Honey and it was DELICIOUS! So, I had to buy another jar of that to replenish our current supply. Then we got to taste testing, looking for a honey that would work well with [livejournal.com profile] heiland_coo's Camomile tea. She ended up getting Arrowroot. I bought a jar of Killer Bee honey because it tasted like no other honey I've had. Very rich and thick and...sorta molasses like. They lady explained that its because the honey is made from whatever wildflowers the bees happen to be pollinating at the time. We both bought a small jar of their Premium Lavender Honey. It's hard to describe how smooth it tastes...just so sweet and yummy and mmm mmm.

And, of course, I got an earring & necklace set from Sozra. I told the lady that I buy a set every year (they always have a special for $25) and I was trying to decide which one to get now. She pointed out a set that she said was being discontinued because the company they get the crystals from said they are no longer making that crystal in the teardrop shape. So that made my decision easy! They are really pretty crystals, almost look like they are just clear, but there is a teeny hint of pink.

And I got my Turkey Leg! We went to buy 3 - one for each of us. So [livejournal.com profile] heiland_coo & I stood in line and Joe went to go get beverages. We get to the front of the line, and order our 3 legs and the lady gives us 4! She says "that one leg is so small...you should get an extra one!" So here is the two of us holding 4 turkey legs! People must have thought we were hardcore! haha.

And we ended the day with a delicious coussant sundae - which is a coussant with one HUGE scoop of ice cream (they must have a mega-scoop back there, because their one scoop is equal to about 3 regular) which then has chocolate sauce dumped on it, and then a PILE of whipped cream...and a cherry on top! Between the 3 of us, we were able to finish it.

So, very full day. And all that fresh air makes me want to take a nap! [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy is still recovering. Luckily, there are leftovers in the fridge for dinner...if I'm every hungry again after that sundae!!!

Awwww I love Ren Faire thingers. :( It's been waaaaaay too long since I have gone. I need to look up where there's one at all close to here. >.> I need to get a fix.

And if I am gainfully employed when I go...then I can buy a super pretty dark green corset like I always wanted to in college. XD

I always liked getting my hair braided, cause then you got to sleep late for DAYS cause it stayed in and you didn't need to do anything. haha.

Yeah, I was almost happy I cut my hair before I went, there were so many pretty hair accessories...I could have gotten into trouble. hehe.

Well, if you can't find one near you, next year you can road trip down to Maryland and come with us! ;-) It must happen, the exit sight at RenFair said
"97 N/Baltimore/Pennsyvlania -->"

So clearly we get a few out of towners haha.
