Next wave of BSG minimates See, not all the BSG toys are made of fail, demonqueen666! The Minimates are adorable and look how they have almost covered ALL of the characters! (In fact, this wave has Baltar and Gaeta....you know you want it!)

Actually, I have to confess I'm not all that crazy about the Minimates. I mean, yeah, they're cute in a vaguely amusing kind of way, but to me they're like those chibi UFO plushes that all the anime kids love: I can admire them from a distance, but there's no way I could tolerate one of those things staring at me from my desktop everyday.

Although at the very least I have to admit that these people appear to know their fanbase, as I doubt it's coincidental that they decided to put Gaeta in the set with two Baltars :P

The only minimates looking directly at me on my desk are the Cylons (which I'm pretty sure Kobol Six is directing to kill me) and Starbuck, because I loves her. The rest are talking amongst themselves.

I dunno why I like them so much, they are cute, but not Super-Deformed or anything. I think the original plan was to just buy the Minimates and not get the figures...which...well you can see how well that worked out.

I did get upset enough to write a letter to DST last night about the crappy Starbuck mold for the next wave. I doubt I will get a reply but I wanted to let them know that at least one fan was upset (and we all know that for the one person who emails, there are several more that did not...)

Just now I decided that you won't get your Cain/Starbuck from me unless you come to.... some con in the near future. lol. Just Kidding. I know where she is, and once I scrounge up a box, I'll get it out.
