I'm finally catching up on 'Pushing Daisies'. I had watched the "Pie-lette" and then let the episodes stack up on my DVR. But since the holiday meant reruns for all of my shows and the writers strike means the rest of them will be ending sooner rather than later, I decided to finally sit down and watch more. It is insanely cute and sweet and funny. Plus, Ned has a sweet little crooked smile that makes him hard not to like. Kristen Chenoworth is made of win. Anna Friel has such a unique, innocent beauty about her too.

And if there was a show that I would actually buy the clothes from, it's PD. Seriously, they need a link on their site for Chuck's dresses! They are so fun and pretty and colorful and you can't find anything that nice in the real world anymore! I like how they flair out at the bottom, and you just know that if she spins around the skirt will poof out. That's how I used to pick out dresses as a kid - the twirl test! Now it's all empire waists and hanging fabric. Bleh. Not my style at all.

Anyway, loving the show, but not quite caught up yet! I just watched the Halloween episode "Girth", if you're wondering.

Pushing Daisies is sooo good! But I'm behind too :( I think Girth is the last episode I saw.

I want all of Chucks dresses sooo bad! And I don't even really WEAR dresses. [livejournal.com profile] chuck_chic is pretty cool even if it's not updated too often.

honestly, I don't wear dresses that often either, but I blame that on the current fashion trends. I'd love to wear dresses every now and then but when I decide to shop for them, I always come up empty handed. :\

Thanks for the link! I'm gonna watch that comm!

Ugh. I love her clothes too. They are all so cute, and Ned is adorkable. :D Kristen and Anna are sooooo cute. I love when they are in scenes together. haha.

Twirl test = FTW. I love dresses that do that, or those old-fashioned ones (even more so than Chuck's) that make you feel like walking slowly around a large mansion all day. (Think BBC Costume Drama. O.O) lol.

Love Pushing Daisies! :-) I think I am all caught up now, but like you, I let them stack up on the DVR for awhile there. At first I wasn't sure if I was down with the whole 'innocent love story' aspect of the show, but it is just so darn charming and sweet I can't resist. And Jim Dale as narrator--bonus! Too bad the writer's strike will likely rob us of any future episodes, but maybe we'll be lucky and the show will actually resume once the strike is resolved.

We watched the first episode when it aired and we were a bit leary of the whole narrator aspect. But they ease up on that in later episodes and even though the innocent love story would probably make me gag in any other setting, this show is just so darn adorable, it's hard not to watch!!

Oh! Pushing Daisies was picked up for a full season in October, so that's a good thing! Now if the studios would just pay the writers their residuals...grrr

Yay, Pushing Daisies!! I'm glad you're getting into this show too, writer's strike aside.
