House Season 4

Finally watched the finale of House.
Is it just me, or does House seem to have this trend as a show for moderately entertaining episodes all season and then a finale that makes you go "oH where were these writers all year?!"
I enjoyed season 4; I felt like they go the relationships between House and Wilson and Cuddy back to where they started so far as snark and interaction. I enjoyed the new doctors he hired on to help and the fact that Foreman, Chase, and Cameron were still around but had grown enough as people to not get as pushed around by House (though I expected a bit more fall-out from when House pretended he had Herpes and Chase asked Cameron if she had slept with him).
I am a bit torn about the 2-part finale. I thought it was a big "EMMY CLIP HERE" couple of episodes. I found House's visions amusing but at the same time I feel like visions should be kept for Buffy and Angel, House should stick to medical otherwise he runs the risk of turning into a psychic doctor. I also thought it was kind of shitty of the writers to work all season to get us to like Amber only to have them kill her off. It was nice to see Wilson happy for awhile and finally getting empowered to break away from House. I understand that the writers are probably cackling over the plot bunnies they have for next season but at the same time POOR WILSON!
I will probably watch next season just because I like everyone on the cast.
Does anyone still watch House besides me?

Date: 2008-06-03 01:10 pm (UTC)And I loved the finale, GTFO! :) I never liked Amber, so I was pleased that she kicked it, but I get how people were starting to like her. I think that makes her death even better, maybe even a Jossy throwback.
And now we wait for Wilson to go weeping into House's arms and they can kiss and make up and go on being the great couple that they've always been. Bwhahahahaha.
Anyway, House+Wilson love aside, I actually didn't mind the visions because it wasn't meant to be super-natural. It was recalling things that he saw and using medicine to see those things. It was really stretched and zomg!dreamworlded out, which is a bit outside the realm for House. However, not particularly unprecidented, what with the finale um two years ago? I forget. It's 8AM, I shouldn't be awake, and certainly not typing.
