whedonesque because Neil Patrick Harris submitted his childhood favorite. But there are lots of other celebrities worth checking out (Stephen Colbert, John Krasinksi and BJ Novak, to name a few).
I love their comments and wish that parents and teachers would take them to heart -- sometimes the best book is one shared with a loved on or read just for the pleasure of reading. Sometimes I think adults try to hard to figure out what is "best" for a child, and they discount some books that would entertain a new reader and inspire them to try other things.
So, flist, I'll ask you, after you've looked at this little website, do you remember the book that got you hooked?
