I was going to hook us up with a Christmas-y episode of one of our favorite TV shows for dinner today but I had a rough time finding one -- First, I wanted to watch Arrested Development but there really isn't a holiday show! Next I tried Veronica Mars but most of those were pretty crazy (and for some reason I've seen Echoll Family Christmas several times more than the other episodes...), The Office s2 Christmas Party is too painful (Secret Santa). And we've seen the Scrubs Christmas episode too many times because we own the DVDs and Comedy Central has been running the show non-stop for a year now. And Buffy really only has "Amends" and I've seen that one a lot too.

So instead we watched the first episode of "Life" which had nothing to do with Christmas. Still, we liked it!

I'm looking forward to the Christmas Story marathon on Wednesday (they are having the marathon right?? It's traditional?? *panics* *checks* It's all good)

I have the Muppet Christmas special on my DVR from last week ready to distract me on Christmas eve once I've seen Ralphie shoot his eye out.

Love Actually is on the TV now...might need to tape that too...(DVR set up...sadly, it's only playing on basic cable so I'm sure it will be heavily edited).

I was never a big fan of those creepy claymation shows and I seemed to have dodged most of them this year.

Do you have any traditional viewings for the holidays? Whatcha watch?

I haven't watched any of my traditional Christmas shows in a few years but I love Rudolph and the original Grinch.

I tried watching the MST3K version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians last week but it was lame.

I've been watching Xxxholic this evening and it's spring so I'm not even *close* to holiday TV-watching.

I'm pretty sure I've watched Rudolph and the (original) Grinch every year since I was born, lol My mom taped them off of the TV, and I'll always remember there was a doublemint gum commercial with sailors or something? idk. But that always makes me think of Christmas now lol Ooh and the snuggle bear. Now though, we've upgraded to DVDs.

Rudolph is about as far as I go into the claymation movies. I just don't get Frosty or Jack Frost or whatever else they do. I'm like, BFD.

Love Actually is like, THE Christmas movie for me. I save it for Christmas every year, and every year I always really really want to watch it around June. And I don't. If only I could have that much willpower with everything else :|

(Also, I think I'm starting a new Thanksgiving tradition: Watching the HIMYM episode 'Slapsgiving'. I must have watched it 20 times this year. ♥)

I love to watch Meet Me In St. Louis, and for some reason, I love the Hallmark Channel's "A Boyfriend for Christmas". I've watched it every year, since it came out.
