Yes, I woke up at 7:30am on my day off...yes I drove an hour...YES IT WAS WORTH IT!

Amy and I had a lot of fun at the Mo Willems event today. He read two of his books - Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed and Are You Ready to Play Outside. He's just an energetic as you would expect him to be, spazzing out as he read out loud. He also did a quick Q&A session, reminding the kids that "Questions are things that you don't know the answer to - 'I have a pony' is not a question."

Found out that "Knuffle" is Dutch for hug. And he pronounces it with a very slight "ka" sound at the start. The mystery of why the pig in Elephant and Piggie is named Piggie, while her friend is Gerald. It's because that's his name - Elephant Gerald (say it out loud, then groan along with it).

ANYHOO - what's a celebrity visit without photos! (also my new camera rocks. It was a "NO FLASH" zone, so I had to turn off the flash, something my old camera could not handle - this one had no problems. Even when I zoomed in!) PICTURES HERE via Facebook (haven't upgraded my Flickr account yet - might have to wait since I've spent plenty this month already)
