BSG: The Oath

destertale posted her thoughts on last week's episode and I realized I hadn't said anything! So here are my thoughts (random and fangirly - beware!!!):



It rocked in only a way Battlestar can - you know, you're cheering and watching closely and also realizing that Ron Moore is just a big a bastard as Joss Whedon and plans to crush all our happiness before the show is over (I kid, i luv you, Joss)

Starbuck was hawt kicking ass and not really bothering to take names. If she knew you, you were okay, if you were one of the random mutineers, she shot you. End of story. Not negotiations, no mercy. Just *splat*.

Apollo is racist. I was a bit ticked at him for wailing on Tigh of all people but oh well. I guess he was really stressed out. It's like Elliot and Carla on tonight's Scrubs, where they had the rule not to bitch at each other if someone else was really bothering them but then they got rid of that rule

OMG DUEL-WIELDING TIGH!!! That was the most bad-ass I've ever seen Tigh and in that moment I knew how he survived the first Cylon war with both eyes. Adama and him were back in soldier mode. So cool. Too bad someone threw a frakkin' grenade at them afterwards.

Oh and there is the Gaius we all know and love. Running away with his tail between his legs. LOL.

Gaeta is an idiot. How he can possibly think that Zarek is at all trustworthy is BEYOND me. He should have known the moment that Zarek whacked Laird over the head (OMG POOR LAIRD!!! NOOOOOO!) that he had no control over him. Zarek would have killed Adama, Tigh, and Roslin without a second thought. While jellibean has hypothesized that Starbuck would kill Gaeta, now I'm thinking Zarek will just get tired of his inability to become totally darkside and just shoot him mid-conversation.
(Z: "We now run BSG"
G:"Yeah, Adama is in the brig, I'm going to go scratch my stump at him"
Z: *SHOOTS*
G:"omg I can't believe you shot me, that really hurt! I hate being shot"
Z: *SHOOTSSHOOTSSHOOTS*

I also have to agree with jellibean that my rage towards Seelix is probably more than my rage towards anyone else. After everything she worked for, after she went from a knuckledragger to a pilot, she falls in with these traitors. And SAM! POOR SAM! I'm so worried about him. He's a nice guy/cylon and he is just as confused and lonely as anyone and now he's been betrayed by a friend and tossed into the brig. :(

Though I'm more worried about the Agathon family. LEAVE THEM ALONE!! THEY ARE GOOD PEOPLES/CYLONS/HALF-PEOPLECYLONS! I want one family to survive intact, dammit!!!! And Pegasus guys are obsessed with raping Cylons to the point that I'm deeply disturbed. Seriously, get a Playstation he'd probably try to have sex with that too. Maybe Karl will shoot him...god, this show is turning me into a vicarious killer! I hadn't realized how many people I wanted to die and that I had people I wanted to kill them...also disturbing...

ANYWAY

Roslin/Adama so cute!!! The little sequence at the start when Tigh walks in and sees Roslin in her robe and he's all like x.O!!!!!! And then Laura pretends she doesn't want to be president anymore but she starts dispensing political advice haha. Ah...it was cute until Zarek ruined it ALL! Grrrrr.

oh and of course STARBUCK AND APOLLO *SMOOCH*. Totally unexpected and random and Lee's brain is clearly fried for a few seconds right after that. Starbuck was just so made of awesome in this episode.

Again, no idea where this is all going, except that Roslin looked PISSED in the previews (I need to stop watching those, they are too spoilery). Where are they going to end up? When are the rest of the Cylons going to show? When will poor Sam get to kick some ass because everyone keeps picking on him. :(

My guess - Gaeta does not survive the next episode. Zarek will get rid of him as soon as he blinks...



Oh, and I don't know if you all noticed or not but I posted a bunch of BSG icons - mostly from the first two episodes of 4.5. LOOKY LOOKY!
