tv thoughts: Dollhouse - Gray Hour

So, we just watched 'Gray Hour'



Just double checking, but the boss lady was totally bullshitting that guy when she said no one knew what he was doing with the Active he ordered? Because how would Topher know how to program Echo if he didn't know what she was up to?

Oh, it just dawned on me...does that mean the guy who was in the office was hired by Alpha???? The guy kept insisting it wasn't for him, and Alpha needed Echo to be out on a mission for his plan to work....hm.

I really liked the moment between the shot!guy and Echo when they talked about art. When she touched her face after he said she was broken...nice scene.

UGH Why can I not remember anyone's name on this show? I only remember Topher this week because he was yelled at so much when Echo got wiped! Anyway, I like that the boss lady already know that Echo's Watcher/Handler has pulled a Giles and gotten to close.

There's no way it actually wiped everything from her brain, right? I feel like we need to start seeing more of the wipe not taking SOON.

I was worried Echo was going to say "I'm Taffy" when the Other Taffy called her on the phone, which would have been awkward.

My Dollhouse Theory: Season 1 will continue like this, but it will end with Echo leaving the Dollhouse. Either Helo will "rescue" her after a wipe, or her Handler will extract her (he's already shown signs of not believing she is there "for a reason"), or Alpha will convince her she's being abused some how (he clearly is focused just on her). Either way, I don't think the show can go on like this for more than a season. She needs to get out and season 2 can be about her trying to rescue the other Dolls. My other theory is that really-pointy-chick will be programmed to be her nemesis and they will be trying to fight each other - pointy-chick getting Topher's programming, maybe Echo getting Alpha's programming...or something.

Just tossing those out there. Still staying spoiler free for the identity of Alpha.

That's what I was thinking with who hired him, because Topher was saying at the end that the only person who would have been able to manage a remote wipe was Alpha. Yeah I liked when the shot!guy became nice and the supposedly 'nice' guy became mean.

Boss lady = DeWitt? I think. lol.
Handler=Boyd. I remember that from the Boyd/Claire moments in the 3rd one. lmao.

Hmmm you might be right. That might be why they are setting Echo and Sierra up as friends right now.

I am kinda wondering if they might still make Mellie (the neighbor girl to Helo) into November like Joss originally intended her to be. >.> Yeah if she's out will she pair up with Alpha to try and save the others or Paul? Or both? And how well will the super-intelligent and yet crazed vigilante Alpha mesh with the well-meaning, determined (and amazingly kick-ass) Paul?

I shouldn't have watched 3 & 4 back to back. lol. It only made me more rabid to know what happens next as far as seeing some plot advancement. (Plus they keep saying that around episode 6 is when it gets 'better'.)

Oh and yeah Boyd seems that he'd be apt to be involved with Echo leaving...and even go with her. Claire also seemed to be leery of the 'mission' of the Dollhouse. I wouldn't be surprised if she left with them or they killed her off in 'the escape' or something.

I'm a dufus, Claire = Fred. I got it. (That's the problem with shows where I know the actors, I don't bother learning their new character's names!)

What's the name of the little Asian girl that was being harassed by Topher this week? That was a very random introduction. The way he was talking to her at first I thought she was an intern then I was like "wtf, how does a super secret organization get an intern???" But whatever, suspension of disbelief and all that. She seems cool, I hope she is not just Alpha rampage bait.

Yeah I don't think she has a name. >.> That never boded well for people in Star Trek and movies/shows like that... She did seem cool though with how she stood up to Topher. Even if it was just for a moment. XD

i just want to say that *this* episode has been the best so far. In my opinion. and i had a theory that the fed guy is alpha, but i am sure that is way wrong, haha.
(yeah, i can't remember any names aside from Echo and Alpha.)
