Got my order from Kohl's today, about 50/50 on what worked and what didn't.

I'm really torn about this dress. It fits kind of weird, like it might be too big around the top, but the middle seems just right and I'm afraid to go a size smaller...but it's so damn cute!!!!

Plus, look at it - doesn't it seem like there's a costume in there (yes, I have a one-track-Dragon*Con-mind, and I will until...well, probably for the rest of the year!)? I mean, even some sort of Buffy thing...jellibean said there is a Buffy prom, I could totally wear this!

I'm going to try it on again when AD is around and get his opinion if it is too big or just plain funky.

And for those of you that don't care about my clothing issues - OMG PLUSH TALKING YODA WANT!

It's adorable! This is forcing me to admit my secret shame here, but I go through bouts of kind of loving What Not to Wear, and their advice would be to have it tailored.. that most of the time, parts of clothes just won't fit right, especially structured pieces like that. So if you love it, just bring it to a tailor and have it taken in.. since it's on sale anyways, you can totally justify the expense. XD

re: your icon - when I first put it on I thought it looked very "Mad Men", but I don't think I've seen enough of the series to dress as anyone (I've only seen the first few episodes of season 1...that reminds me, I need to netflix that again)

And it was even MORE on sale when I bought it, which also bugs me because I was just going to order the next size down and try it on, but its $15 more now!

Oh, I think it's definitely very Mad Men!! I think that show has had a lot of influence on fashion lately... going back to structured waistlines like that, and little twinsets and pearls.. I love it!

(Although I totally tried to channel Betty Draper on Mother's Day, but high-waisted is just not my friend.)

heehee. YAY. Speaking of...I was going to try make-up (+primer and finishing powder) and putting a bit of a curl in my hair tonight. >.> Not to say it might not get moved to tomorrow, but yes.

Oh! Do you have a dreamwidth account? I just got an invite code and it's pretty much like LJ it seems. (But boy are the paid accounts expensive!) I was thinking about using it as a writing journal, but I haven't decided yet.

I DO have a dreamwidth account. Guess me username :) I want to use it as a writing journal too but my lazy-ass hasn't typed jack but a "hello, is this thing working" post. We should have some sort of writing throw down...OR we could do a story and alternate chapters on our accounts or something...like, you do the first few paragraphs, then tag me and I'll continue etc...
