Just in case you haven't seen it:

OMG SO COOL! I can't wait to try the 3-part harmonies. It's going to be a challenge, but a lot of fun. Buying my $15 mic stand seems like a better investment, because I don't know how often I'll have 7 people over to play all the different parts. I think I can handle Paul's harmonies on some of the songs, there are a few I default to him on because John goes too low. Too bad it doesn't do three guitars at once, that would have been sweet...but sorta crowded on the screen! haha.

heehee, cannot wait for September! Dragon*Con, Beatles Rockband...gonna be a good month...expensive month, but good month.

Oh, and speaking of music, I can't remember if I said anything on here or if I only did it on Twitter - I signed up for a blip.fm account so I can tweet random songs. I know [livejournal.com profile] juliet_demarcus and [livejournal.com profile] dancingsalad have accounts on there, anyone else? Or on last.fm? Always looking for new ways to find music.

They should have figured out by now that there's more than just "guitar" and "bass", especially since they did copy parts of their game from Guitar Hero, which has rhythm and lead guitars. If you can have guitar and bass or guitar, bass, and drums, or bass and drums, why do these things all have to stay in one place? If you can switch guitar and bass to either side of the screen, why can't you have acoustic, electric, rhythm, and bass? Why can't you have three guitars at once? If they went so far as to cram three vocal tracks on one screen, why not three guitars and no drum, etc?

I don't do harmonies, so this will be a challenge.

yeah, this is true! Maybe they're saving it for Beatles Rock Band 2: The Search for More Money.

OH OH you did the Endless Setlist in Rock Band, yes? Do you pretty much have to pick a difficulty level and stick with it through the whole thing or do you have chances to take it down a notch if a song is just too hard in one mode?

You have to choose one difficulty, and stick with it, like any other setlist. This means you have to choose boredom or failure. My roommate almost did the thing solo guitar on hard, but failed at song 80.

We keep planning to try it, but we never end up doing it. I don't want to drum on Medium, but I can't beat Battery or Painkiller on Hard yet. If I could start on Expert, and move it down as I went along, it would be more fun.

We're thinking of doing it as a group, and letting the beginner players start, and let the more experienced players take over later. Then, of course, comes the question of whose characters get the cash and prestige...

I would trade the drums in a heartbeat for pretty much anything else. lol. That was my least favorite part playing Rockband with my brother and his roomies.

yeah, my brain can handle my fingers moving, even singing and fingers moving, but hands and feet moving is a no-go. I struggle on easy-mode with drums. But, no offense to Ringo, if they are just like the master tracks, I might be able to handle it. ;-)
