31 Days of December meme 24-27
Dec. 27th, 2009 04:11 pmActually, let's just count the Muppets on Jimmy Fallon's show video clip as the "whatever" post from the 24th, okay?
Day 25: Your Day, in great detail - I'll do bullet points to keep you from the wall of text.
- Starbuck was playing with SOMETHING at 3am and woke me up. After taking it away from her, I fell back to sleep and had a weird dream that I went to the mall but accidentally ended up in Florida and NPH was my cab driver, but I had to get back home because it was Christmas the next day! Yeah, random.
- Woke up around 8:30, AD made some hot cocoa and we did our presents! (as seen here!)
- Went over to my parents around noon and hung out with them. I brought my camera and I was on a mission to get photos after the frustrating task of trying to find pictures for the digital picture frame I bought them.
- I gave them that and Rock Band 2 w/ Beatles Rock Band. They seemed very excited. I gave Vincent, my brother, Beatles boots and they gave me Beatles Trivial Pursuit. It was a Fab Four kind of Christmas!
- Oh, and of course I got my Tauntaun sleeping bag! It is just as glorious as it looks in the photos. You know you want to come over and sleep on our couch now.
- Also snagged a Starbucks, Panera, and Playstation Store gift card.
- Caravaned over to AD's brother's house where his parents were waiting. It was nasty foggy out and my mom was clearly freaked since she drove about 20 under the speed limit the whole time. But we arrived safe and sound.
- Watched our little nephew freak out over all the toys he was getting (he's almost 3 and adorable).
- Uncle George (who is probably reading this, he is a LJ lurker, *waves to Uncle George*), Aunt Kathy, and Nicole arrived a bit later with presents and a GIANT box of raw oysters.
- Amy (
heiland_coo) & Joe arrived right after that. We inducted them into the Smith/Zline family this year. We put Joe and Vincent to work shucking and starting nom-nom-nomming.
- We started talking and Max opened a few more presents. The massive dinner was ready about 7pm with turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, filling (inside and outside, for those that are picky), cranberries, brussel sprouts (ew, but AD likes them), "Kathy Salad" (it's some sort of whipped cream with banan, pecans, and tangerine bits in it).
- Rest of the presents. Max opened the LEGOs we got him and he loved them. I got a painting from AD's mom of the Beatles, The Singing Bee game, 1600 Xbox points, and some chocolate. Mmmmm. I dragged my Tauntaun inside for everyone to see. AD got his big present - a piano keyboard!
- Desert PIE! I had pumpkin and "Shoo Fly" pie. the Shoo fly was intense, I had never had it before.
- Finally rolled home about 10pm, our car full of stuff.
Day 26: Your week, in great detail - that doesn't seem necessary, I've been a posting FOOL this week. Mon-Weds was work work work. Thursday Amy & Joe came over and we watched Bad Santa & Love Actually, ate lots of sushi, and waited for Christmas. Then we had Christmas on Friday. Saturday we had lunch with our friends Amanda & Wei, who were down visiting family from NYC. Then we went back over to the Smiths to see AD's other aunt and uncle, his cousin Heather and her two daughters and his grandmother. Got home a little after 10pm. Today AD's parents came over and we went to Five Guys for lunch and then watched a lot of clips from Craig Ferguson. AD showed off his new piano keyboard.
Day 27: Your month, in detail -
- Imogen Heap concert in Philly on December 1st with Damian, Raven, and my brother.
- Barnes & Noble Library fundraiser on the 3rd where I read some books to little kids then ran Beatles Rock Band for 3 hours.
- 5th we hung out with Amy & Joe to celebrate Joe's birthday, played a little bit of Rock Band and watched 'I Love You, Man'
- Did a random shopping trip with Amy to search for a LeapFrog game for a gift.
- Downloaded 'Rubber Soul' for Beatles Rock Band and played that shiznit, which I am awesome at.
...and the rest you konw from all my other posts and the rambling above!!
