Yes, I Cried Like A Little Girl At The End - Toy Story 3 - Every time I see a Pixar movie, I'm just blown away by how fantastic it is. You can tell the people there LOVE what they do and take a lot of care in the creation process. When Toy Story 3 was first announced, I cringed, worried they would ruin the series. How foolish of me. Instead, the ended the series in a way that both broke my heart and made me incredibly happy. I just bought the entire trilogy on blu-ray and look forward to watching this over again, with a big ol' box of tissues at the ready.

It Lived Up To The Hype - Inception - I was really excited to see this movie. Maybe too excited. In fact, I was so excited that I was ready to hate it. But Nolan pulled it off, mixing story, special effects, and great acting into a movie I could not tear my eyes away from. It is a gorgeous film on so many levels. But a lot of fun to watch too.

Way Better Than I Thought It Would Be - Unstoppable - The add campaign for this movie did not do it justice. It's a large popcorn and soda film. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. What I think I liked the most about the movie was how it showed people working together to stop the runaway train. We've got Captain Kirk Chris Pine and Denzel Washington in their own train, Rosario Dawson calling the shots at the headquarters, and a few other side characters helping out. The only real dufus is the "Man" at the business office. Do yourself a favor at rent this one when it comes out.

Guilty Pleasure Movie - Resident Evil:Afterlife 3D - It was on par with all the other Resident Evil films so, in other words, it was pretty horrible. But it was the kind of 3D I like - over the top and gimmicky, things flying at your face stuff. I don't want to pay $13 to see "depth of field' in a movie, I want bullets flying at me! And this one delivered. No real point in watching it again, but it was fun on the big screen. So ridiculous but as a fan of the games, there's lots of little stuff to make you giggle.

I'm Still Sorta Mad I Didn't See This In The Theater - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - I mean, this movie has my name written all over it! Yet somehow, I missed it while it was in the theaters. Luckily, I was able to get a copy and I really really liked it. I'm reading the comics right now and they just make me want to watch the movie again. I think when it drops in price on Amazon, I'll snag it.

Midnight Madness - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 - It was so much fun to see this movie at midnight with my buddies, especially since we went to The Senator, the place we saw most of the other HP films at midnight (except for 6). And to make it even better, the movie was actually good!

I Should Look Away But I Can't - Black Swan - beautiful, horrifying, and mesmerizing. That's all I can really say about this movie. Natalie Portman was amazing, but it was Mila Kunis who really blew my mind. Seriously, if you asked me which actors from "That 70's Show" would go on and make qualify movies after it ended, she would not have been near the top of the list. But she was SO good in this. I can't decide if I could watch it again or not though, it was exhausting in it's relentlessness. But I'm happy I saw it in the theater, because I had no escape and it made me focus.

New Girl Crush - Easy A - I loved her in Zombieland but Easy A confirmed that Emma Stone is just made of win. The whole movie is her and she did a fantastic job carrying the romantic comedy to John Hughes-ian heights! Stanley Tucci as her Dad was also awesome. I look forward to watching this again for her adorableness.

Comic Book Movie That Was Better Than the Comic Book - RED - based on a really short series by Warren Ellis, the movie version of RED just had a bit more going on with the characters. But it still had that twisted Ellis sense of humor mixed in there. With tongues firmly planted in cheeks, the cast made a movie that was just fun to watch. If you need to see stuff get blow'd up real good, but still have a plot to go with it, this is a great pick!

Classic Disney Cartoon, Sorta - Tangled - Even though Tangled is all computer generated animation, it captures the heart and soul of a classic animated Disney movie. Yes, the songs were not as strong as Little Mermaid etc., but it was beautiful to watch and the few songs that were scattered in the film were very nice little melodies. I really hope they do more of these.

What The Cuss? - Fantastic Mr. Fox - Technically a 2009 release, but I Netflixed it on a whim because it got good reviews and sat down to watch it one morning before I went to work, thinking I would give it a few minutes and see if it was too "kidly". OMG FAR FROM IT! The humor, the dry DRY humor must have flown over kid's heads. It's pretty much a furries version of The Royal Tenenbaums (most of the same cast) and Clooney is Fantastic as Mr Fox. It's so weird and odd and really not for everyone, but for the few who have seen it and loved it, I say - I think of myself as an athlete.

Best War Movie In Years - Hurt Locker - again, this came out last year but I didn't get to see it until the dvd release. And wow. WOW. I'm not really war movie person, but this film is so powerful and you get pulled into the lives of these men in a very intimate way, even though the movie is only a matter of days. I've watched it a coupe times now and I still get tense. Deserved EVERY AWARD it got.

Special Interest - Waking Sleeping Beauty - I watched this after I made my pretty little banner up there so it's not included in the image, but it's a interesting documentary about the big Disney comeback in the 80s and what was going on behind the scenes, all told by one of the animators. If you're a Disney fan and curious about how movies like Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast managed to get produced, watch it. They don't pull too many punches - Disney World may be the happiest place on Earth, but working for Disney can be not-so-much.

I just saw Easy A on New Years Eve (and spotted one of your mix CD songs ahaha!) and I loved it! I want Emma Stone's hair. I don't think I've ever seen Stanley Tucci play a dad, so that was very awesome. Him and Patricia Clarkson were both so good. And Penn Badgley really needs to stop making me like him. Yeah, so basically, the cast was A+ and it was just amazing.

heehee, yep "15 Minutes" is on there and that's how I heard the song. I really need to post the track list! It's on the to-do list for this week. I want Emma's hair too. Such a fun movie! :)
