so long 2010, here's to the new year!

So, I'm not going to do any of the end-of-year memes this time around. It was an odd year with a lot of ups and the obvious huge down. But I"m looking forward to 2011. I've already got a slew of new adventures lined up (Improv class, PAX East, Dragon*Con, cruise to Bermuda) so lots to look forward too, plus my awesome friends.

When I look back on 2010, the negative is very obvious, so I'm just going to focus on the positive stuff like this:



and my amazing trip to Vegas with my BFF, heiland_coo:





and meeting the cast of my favorite tv show at SDCC and getting a high-five from Danny Pudi plus a smile from Donald Glover:



and seeing my Grandma one last time, and having fun with the whole Grady clan:



and bittertwee's serious face at the pinball machine at PAX East:



and seeing 30 Seconds to Mars rock Bender Arena (and getting *this* close to Jared Leto when he snuck into the crowd):



and seeing Fistful of Mercy with my newest best buddy, andy_wolverton at the super intimate Sixth & I Synagogue:



the completely insane Guy Fawkes party that destertale convinced me to attend (fire is FUN was the theme of the evening):



Harry Potter 7 at midnight at the Senator Theatre with good friends, just like it should be:



and getting to go back to work at the library system that I grew up in and love so dearly, making new friends with the fantastic staff at SPK and meeting new patrons, and getting to do storytime again:



Yeah, so, 2010 wasn't all bad. I'm looking forward to 2011, new friends and new adventures. To being on my on for awhile (notice I didn't say "alone", because if all my amazing friends, online and offline, proved - I am never alone) and having a good time while I'm on my own.



Happy New Year's to everyone! Hope your night is safe and fun, no matter how you spend it, I hope that 2011 treats you well. You are an amazing bunch, I adore my friends list and look forward to reading it every day when I get home from work, even if I don't always have time to leave comments.
