orangerfulWell, today has been a good day for many reasons:
- had (late) breakfast with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
maybedeadcat at Dunkin Donuts (used
the gift card my mom got me for Christmas PLUS the little survey code for a
donut - "Yeah, Sam - I heard you like free stuff so we gave you a free
donut with your gift card purchase so you could get free stuff with your
free stuff")
- Came to work and it was SUPER busy BUT during my first hour on the desk I
had a Reader's Advisory question from the perfect teenager - she just
wanted a good book, she loved 'Hunger Games' and she did not like vampire
stories. EVERY book I booktalked to her, she was excited about, and we
ended up placing a hold on "Unwind" for her. I love interactions like
that.
- When I was in the back, my evaluation was sitting on my desk (I meet with
my supervisor/manager on Friday to discuss it) but it was pretty much 4
pages of how awesome I am. :D
- Also, my nails are very shiny. I put on the O.P.I. Muppets color
"Designer De-Better" which is a sparkly silver. I really like it. Might
be my favorite of the bunch so far. I did two coats last night on top of a
clear coat so hopefully it will survive longer than "Meep-Meep-Meep" did
last week. But I work with my hands a LOT, pulling books off the shelf
etc, so it's easy to chip the polish. That's why I paint them myself!
- ThinkGeek emailed me to tell me the OMG Pwnies bag was
back in stock so I hopped to it and ordered it, using my $20 gift card from
Christmas! YAY!
- When I got to work, there was an email from ThinkGeek with a $5 off code
(the equivalent of free shipping) so I emailed them and was all sad and
said "can I please use that on my order I just placed like 20 minutes ago!"
and they were super awesome and said YES! W00t!
- I have been reading lots of super-adorable picture books today as we are
preparing for our Valentine's Day storytime program in February. So many
cute ones. My favorite today was Plant a Kiss
though I'm not sure if we will use it for the program. If we don't, I'm
totally going to save it for another story time. Just really sweet. :)
Gah and I didn't realize all my shows were coming back this week! Need to
watch Once Upon a Time, Raising Hope, New Girl, and Grimm. Happy
Endings should be on tonight, have to remember to check in to get my
sticker!
