how do you brainstorm?

Trying to figure out this silly speech I have to give on Tuesday. It's a
keynote speech to a student group on "community leadership" and I want to
relate it to the library.

I love my computer and technology, but I don't seem to be able to
brainstorm on the computer. I sat looking at the blank word document,
feeling overwhelmed, but when I pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen, I
really started working. Something about typing it out makes it feel like
the final draft...guess it's that bit of old-school still hanging on to
me. It's so weird growing up in the generation that spans such a huge leap
in technology in our daily lives...

I have that same problem when I write my papers. I could sit at the computer for hours and write nothing; 15 minutes with a notebook and pen... I've got at least three pages of something.
