random fact about me #001

There's a lot of "getting to know you" memes going around right now and if
I replied to every one on my flist, I'd feel too pressured to think of a
new fact every time. So instead, I'm just gonna post random facts as I
think of them. FUN facts. :)

Random Fact #001 -- During the summer before my senior year of high school,
I took a trip to Australia with the student ambassadors group called
"People to People". It was 18 days of awesome and I want to go back to
Australia SO MUCH! It was a blast to be on a guided tour but now I want to
experience it as an adult. SOME DAY!

Only for around three weeks! It was during the Germany World Cup period so it was AWESOME. Went to Venice, Switzerland (UN!), Germany (history stuff) and Austria, was a very awesome trip that tied in with my history class and overall it was really fun because it was my first trip abroad without family!

WOW that is a lot of countries in 3 weeks! My Australia trip was only 18 days and, like you, it was my first trip without my family.

Sounds like such a fun trip! I've yet to go to a country where they don't speak English as a first language...someday though...my friend spent a semester in Italy back in the day so I figure maybe she will want to go back and we can butcher some Italian pronunciations together!

I did Italian for one semester! Didn't go to the country though :/

The thing was that I went with a tour group? My school got a travel agent to handle the whole trip so I didn't even get to hear the Germans and the French and the Italians speak. Oh well.
