worst. snowstorm. ever.

But, on the plus side, the entire state of Maryland paniced and everything was closed today. So people can only be *so* mad at us tomorrow for not being open due to very cold rain. It's not like everybody else wasn't doing it.

And it was my night to work and I'm happy that I won't be driving home when all of this is starting to get icy. Though I'm not actually sure if it got cold enough outside to form ice.

I think it is just more proof that we all NEED snowdays, even grown-ups. It's a release, a surprise day off that you can only get in the winter time. I think this was probably our last shot at having one because the rest of the week is supposed to go back into the upper 40s.

In other news - we got tickets to see METRIC! [livejournal.com profile] maybedeadcat found out they were touring again this summer so he grabbed tickets. Rams Head Live - a good dancing around venue and I love dancing to Metric. :)

7 or so degrees cooler and we would have had another Snowpocalypse, so I guess it was a wise decision.

Besides, as you point out, Snow Day!!! And I would've been driving at night on probably-horribly-icy roads with crappy visibility (and insane drivers, the worst part) too.

:( I wish we got snow day. There was NO ONE on the road this morning as I drove in to work.

I'm rather amused by the panic now.

We're so used to getting snow and dumped on that it's very very rare if my work ever closes. They might send us home early if the shifts are slow and we're overstaffed, but never has the entire city closed down. Unless the city blacksout from a thunderstorm (like it did two years ago). It's actually quite nice to have spring temps here and not be under three feet of snow. I believe you're getting all of our nasty weather. Enjoy the snow days!
