METRIC TOMORROW!!!!!!!

The gang is getting together tomorrow to head into Baltimore and see METRIC at Rams Head Live. I'm really excited to go because they are awesome live, we all like their music, we're celebrating lostacanthus's birthday/graduation and I GET TO DANCE THIS TIME!

Last time we saw them was at the Strathmore in Silver Spring which was more of a concert hall than a rock show venue, with fancy chairs and everyone wanted to sit and I can't SIT AT A ROCK SHOW!

I'm going to wear a super-cute dress I bought ages ago that really can only be worn at rock shows (it's black with silver dots all over it) and we're gonna have delicious pizza before the show and then hopefully that very nice bartender from last time is there who makes oh so tasty vodka-cranberry drinks. Only going to have one or two...but it's been a week at work and I need at least A DRINK. Plus, it's Friday night!

Who is Metric??? Here is a song from their latest album. If you have Spotify, I recommend listening to "Fantasies" because that album is pretty much perfect, though Synthetic runs a close second for me.

I bought a cute skirt pretty much to wear to Popfest last weekend! And I was so much happier than in jeans. I never wear skirts, but I think I'm going to turn over a new leaf..

My only concern right now is where to put my phone since this dress does not have pockets and I won't be carrying my purse. I guess I can just dance with it in one hand and drink with the other LOL. But, yes, I've recently been enjoying skirts too! Honestly, with the heat and humidity, it's a nice way to stay cool but still look dressy.

My favorite album by Metric is still Fantasies even though Synthetica isn't that bad. Emily was awesome when I got to see her and it was basically a gigantic dance party. Have fun!

Def. Fantasies FTW. Almost bought the vinyl yesterday to hang up on my wall. Maybe later. The show was awesome though I need to invest in some shoes that are both cute AND comfortable for dancing. I literally could not walk after the show, I was in so much pain. Stupid getting older...and crappy sandals.
