[livejournal.com profile] lostacanthus emailed this video to me and I had to share (mostly because I know [livejournal.com profile] poniesandphotos will dig it). I'm starting to really love this band. And I respect any band that can perform something 100% acoustic. (also the singer seems sorta nervous singing all alone with no microphone to hide behind and I always find that endearing in a lead guy)

OMG Bastille is AMAZING! I heard Pompeii on Tumblr and bought the CD the following weekend. You should find the song Icarus. That's one of my favorites.

I looked up the album on Spotify sometime in November and I had it on repeat for DAYS. I need to just buy it already and add it to my iPod rotation. I will look up Icarus next time I have the album on!

<3! Thanks for sharing. I find Dan Smith (lead singer) to be adorable in many ways. I've seen a few of their acoustic videos now, it's nice when bands still sound the same without all the fixings.

Agreed. They look giddy this whole video, I think they are having as much fun performing as we are watching. :)

Love this song anyway, and this is a lovely version. Nice acoustics where they are singing too. =)

Yeah, looks like it might be a regular thing to perform in this location, lots of videos on YouTube with other bands in the museum. Def. crazy good acoustics!

That's one of the reasons I was pretty impressed with Imagine Dragons during the Beatles show. After their Grammys performance, which was like, huge, it was really cool (and a good move on their part) to just sit down and sing.

Anyway! YES this is so perfect <3 And I'm a sucker for songs with clapping!

Yeah, listening to that whole album I love that there are some crazy produced tracks and then some nice bare-bones tracks too.

Oooh, I really like this version of Pompeii. I was really surprised to discover the harmonies were still there even stripped down!

Yes! Nice when a band has talent that can stand up outside of a studio. :)
