It's been a busy few days! Because of the snow, we had Sylvia here on Monday. My Mom emailed me a link to the latest Jimmy Fallon Hashtags bit and we watched that and immediately fell into a Jimmy Fallon YouTube hole for the rest of the afternoon LOL. God bless the Late Show YouTube channel!!!!!

We also finished up Season 2 of Veronica Mars. I have many thoughts to post and I will save them for later because otherwise this will be all over the place! Suffice it to say, I did remember most of the "mystery" and I still was not happy with the ending. Meh.

Yesterday was my birthday (thank you all for the birthday wishes!!!!). Because the weather was so cold and miserable, we mostly stayed inside and played video games and watched TV (caught up on Justified). Then Tim took me out for sushi dinner as a treat! OMG I had a large Sapporro and way too much sushi, I was ready to burst by the end but it was worth it. Then we bought some pie at Giant and came home, had a few drinks, watched "Ninja Scroll" (Tim convinced me I should see it and it would fit into the Japanese theme of the evening), and after that we had delicious pie and watched the latest episode of "Community". So, yeah, it was a lazy birthday but I was fine with that. :)



OH! And Tim got me The Art of Tangled and the Deluxe Edition of the Frozen soundtrack! Karen got me the Fan Phenomona Buffy book for my Buffy Studies collection (someday I will have a Whedon library! you will see! And you can all have cards there...just return stuff on time and no one gets hurt). And andy_wolverton got me the big huge Beatles "All The Songs" book! :D I am so spoiled, I have awesome friends, yes?

AAAAAAAAAAAAND I finally watched the first episode of Orphan Black! Karen got disc 1 from Netflix and let me borrow it, I need to watch them all by Saturday so I can mail it back for her. But I really liked it! More once I've seen more!

Okay, gonna go look at my shiny new books now. Must learn ALL THE THINGS! If you have any favorite Beatles songs you need me to look up, I can do that for you! god I'm such a librarian.

I watched another Orphan Black this morning and I'm really liking it. I just hope the writers know what they are doing and they have a good resolution to this mystery!

OMG, the Ninja Scroll movie is so old! I remember liking it way back, but I'm not sure it would pass the test of time.

I think it held up pretty well. I mean, it does have that 90s anime look (like I'm some kind of expert LOL I could probably count the number of anime movies I've watched on one hand) but I still thought the story was good.

I'm loving Orphan Black so far!!!! Will post more once I finish the first disc!

I've been so curious about Orphan Black, but never watched it.

Also--I NEED THAT BOOK!!! I need it so BADLY!!!!! I didn't even know it existed, which should tell you something about how up on Beatles-stuff I've been in recent years. I have blog cooking about how I willfully steered myself away from the fandom because I was ordered to. (In fairness, I got kind of obnoxious about it, so I understand.)

I'm enjoying the two episodes of 'Orphan Black' I have seen so far, I will report back once I've finished disc 1.

OMG you DO need this book, it is so beautiful!!! I was really a crazed Beatles fan for awhile, but eventually I branched out into other music (thank goodness) so my fandom for them sort of died down. This year felt good though, it was nice to go back to them. And this book is everything I wanted. I have a copy of "Hard Day's Write (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1703445.A_Hard_Day_s_Write)", which, despite what the title says, did not have EVERY Beatles song in it, so I was so happy to have this book, which not only has their songs but the songs they covered.

I will look up "Rain" once I get home...being bad and blogging at the desk shhhhhhhhhh ready for the weekend!!!!

The Tangled book so so pretty. I want to frame all the pages. I am always amazed by the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes for animated features, and the art work that is created merely for staging the show. Ugh, just beautiful!
