  1. What is your favorite novel to screen adaptation?

  2. The first movie that came to mind is Fantastic Mr Fox though the movie is less of an adaptation and more loosely inspired by the book. And I'd like to say the Lord of the Rings but as I've never made it through the books, I feel sorta unqualified to list it. OH OH Jurassic Park! That one holds a special place in my heart as I adore both the movie and the book and I think they both stand up on their own still.
  3. What novel to screen adaptation did you hate, when you had liked the book?

  4. Hm, I've been very disappointed in several movie adaptations but I'm having a hard time thinking of one I truly hated. I know there must be some but I think I blocked them out.
  5. When was the last time you went to the cinema and what did you watch?

  6. Last month for MUPPETS MOST WANTED! :D Not as good as the previous one, but still SO MUCH FUN!
  7. Sugared or salted popcorn?

  8. For the movies? Salt and BUTTER!
  9. Cinema or DVD?

  10. Depends on the movie, I suppose. I find for comedies and action movies, it's better to see them on the big screen with a big crowd so you get the buzz from everyone having fun. But smaller, more "arranging matches" movies I prefer on DVD so I can watch in silence.(sic)

It's so true. I think it goes for some of the action movies too. I saw the new Thor movie in the theater with my Dad and we had a really good crowd and I had a really fun time, but then I was talking with Andy about it at work and he just rented it and watched it at home alone and didn't enjoy it. During our discussion, I realized we pretty much felt the exact same way about the movie but it was our experience that was making me feel more positive about it.

That's true, action movies (and horror movies) can be really fun in a crowd, too.

Really interesting how you and your co-worker's experiences effected you.

I really think for the big action movies, the BIG screen and dark room helps to suck you into the moment so you can enjoy it more. I loved how BIG and LOUD the movie was but I saw it in the theater. Andy was at home, in his basement, and he may have had the lights down but it just doesn't compare to a theater screen and he was saying how it was just another BIG and LOUD movie haha.
