back on track!
Apr. 24th, 2014 12:35 pmTGI...shit it's only THURSDAY!?!?!
This week has been several levels of cray. Every day has been a special day. I think I'm going to lose my voice. Tuesday, I had preschool outreach then a meeting about early literacy where I talked too much, Wednesday I had another meeting about library technology in which I talked too much and then evening storytime and this morning (not my usual morning, I flipped) I had Toddler Time, with 43 children so I had to talk VERY LOUDLY. And now my throat feels raw. I'm sure the allergies are not helping but still.
OMG so hungry too. I was trying to have a serious conversation with my manager and my stomach kept RumBLing.
ANYWAY, let's just knock out today's question because I am too tired to do anything else!
faeriesfolly asked about my favorite Board Game(s). I don't really play that many board games anymore. When I was a kid, I loved Monopoly and Payday, but I find that games that involve finances are not very fun once you actually have to deal with finances IRL. LOL. I still do enjoy playing Sorry, which we've done a few times with Sylvia. Vincent and I used to LOVE Omega Virus, which was pretty high tech for a board game. Just thinking about it, I can taste the Fritos and bean dip...we spent whole summer days playing that silly game and snacking LOL. Oh to be a kid again. I have a weakness for Trivial Pursuit, but that usually devolves into us just reading the cards to find questions we think we might know.
Right now, when people come over, we tend to play party style games, like Cards Against Humanity. We recently purchased Say Anything and Dixit, which are super fun. Tim got a Ascension for his birthday, which is sorta like Magic: the Gathering except you don't have to spend time/money collecting cards, you start with a giant deck.
Next in gaming, we are going to try Dungeons and Dragons. I've never played a pen and paper RPG. We're actually meeting on Friday to create our characters.
destertale is to blame for all this LOL.

Date: 2014-04-24 09:43 pm (UTC)I used to play Trivial Pursuit like that. For the most part my brother and I would lose most of the pieces so we just played it like a trivia game with the cards.
Hope you have fun with D & D.
