whoosh went the wind and OUT went the lights

omg this has been SUCH a Monday! First, I tried to be a good Early Literacy Specialist and get my Babies program planned in advance. I was in the back, typing up a little script, looking over books of fingerplays and rhymes and then BOOM the lights go out. And poof goes my Word document.

Luckily, it had saved but it was still 10 minutes before the power loss so I had lost a lot of my copy+pasting I had been doing online. I started to repair the damage and go into my plan for next week and then BOOM...no power again.

The day did get better from there though because DONUT GUY stopped by! I needed that jelly donut so bad.

Oh, but the best part was I decided to go clean the storytime closet for an hour (because I can really only face that mess an hour at a time) and while I was in there the light just in that room died.

I decided that it was a sign and I should just stop working so hard for a Monday and read livejournal.

So here I am.

BONUS, I just noticed that I apparently have space for 6 more icons! Wonder how that happened, I guess maybe the old loyalty icons came back after I renewed my paid account? I need to make some icons with my newer fandoms. Maybe a project for this week while Tim is playing Assassin's Creed or PS3 baseball.

Donut Guy? What a cool person to have stop by periodically! We had a Friend of the Library at Silver Spring who would stop by once in a while with homemade banana chocolate chip bread.

Yeah, when the lights go out the universe is definitely telling you something. And storytime closets are a nightmare. Ours at Silver Spring was huge but still pretty chaotic, except for a couple of months after we did a major reorganization/toss-out.

Am so jealous you get to do baby storytimes! They were my favorite program next to Anime Club.

Omg found a receipt in a box of flannel from 1999!!! Just need to throw everything out of that closet because once it is in there, no one remembers it.

I am not a huge fan of babies programs because I am so exhausted afterwards!!!! Doing them every week for a month is gonna wear me out.
