Hannibal season 2

orangerfulI just finished the Season 2 finale minutes ago ... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had known that Abigail was still alive as soon as they said all they had was the ear. I like my ears but they are not vital to my survival. Not sure WHY the FBI assumed they were, it's hard to know.
Speaking of the FBI and their mad skills, I'm hoping that now that there are 4 people in Lecter's house dead or at least bleeding out (whenever the hell the 911 call actually gets a response! Sheesh! She reported shots fired AGES ago) that there will be no denying his guilt. Entrapment or no, he didn't need to kill all of them. Though I suppose if Will is the only one left alive, that won't look so good.
I am unclear what the point of the crazy brother and abused sister were for. I guess it was to give us a character that we sorta wanted dead so we could be just as conflicted as Will about getting rid of him (and also not feel bad that Will was using him to bait Hannibal...and how it all turned out). I am hoping that there will be more of that relationship next season just because it didn't feel very tied up at the end.
**sigh** poor Alana. As soon as she had sex with Hannibal, I knew her days were numbered. Never hav sex in a horror movie or tv series!!! Though I'm sorta happy more didn't come of that. Will got to pout for a little bit but he eventually got over it.
Hannibal knows that Freddie Lounds is still alive. Will he go in search of her? Or perhaps his psychiatrist? Or does he plan to just blend in, disappear for awhile, and start that vegan diet he has been thinking about?
Watching him cook was so hypnotizing. And also disturbing when you realize that anything put through a meat grinder looks like hamburger. It would be very easy to eat people and not know it.
I am hoping the show plans on reinventing itself next season since it seems only logical to make it a year hunting for Hannibal. I guess other killers could pop up, here and there, but really we need to get him behind bars (especially since Fuller tweeted in Season 1 that their plan for Season 4 was to do the main story of Red Dragon, which starts with him in prison. I read the first page when it arrived on my desk at the library and it mentioned Graham walking with a limp because of Lecter...guess that's gonna happen).
Okay, I'm going to go through tags on other people's LJs, but if you have a good Hannibal post, please link it in the comments so I don't miss it!!!! Now I'm stuck waiting like the rest of you!!! I just put the Season 1 DVD on hold at the library because I want to watch it with the commentary tracks and maybe watch the extras, which I was afraid to do before I finished because of spoilers.

Date: 2014-07-06 10:28 pm (UTC)I reckon Will's the only one we know will survive the ordeal, but some of us have Theories about what's going to happen to the others. Assuming they do survive. I've also heard that Season 3 is supposed to be all about Hannibal on the run, so yeah, I'm pretty sure we know at this point he's going--like everyone in-universe is onto to that whole Hannibal Is A Cannibal thing.

Well, obviously it was so we could have that moment of Hugh Dancy punching Michael Pitt in the face. No amount of plot crow-barring will make me not love that. NONE.
Although I think having the Vergers around is setting up . . . something . . . a few seasons on. They have 7 planned, with Red Dragon being the 4th, which implies that the latter books will come into it eventually, but I don't know when or how. I do know that there was a lot of creepy rape/incest backstory to their whole deal in the books, which Fuller scrapped, and I support that entirely.
