It's 90 in here.
Maintenance had not been over when we got home from work at 5:30 so I played squeaky wheel and called the office and told them it was hot and they needed to come over right now.
After two hours of looking inside, cleaning the coils, and general fiddling, they deduced that the compressor was broken. They offered to bring us a portable AC...and then came back to tell us they didn't actually have any and lent us a little fan.
Sorry new friends, no intro post at least until tomorrow as I am not turning on my desktop until I can cool this place down.
Oh wait, here is a fun fact - our apartment is on the third floor and heat rises! 😣
Going to point our newly purchased Target fan at my body and try to sleep. blech.

Date: 2014-07-09 08:36 pm (UTC)AC is a very uncommon thing in Norway, and normally I would say it isn't needed - but these last couple of days, though. Uuugh so hot and sticky. I live on the second floor in and old brick apartment building. Heat rises, and our (one wall) of windows face the sun all day long T___T; The air in here won't move, and fans really do nothing at all. Hahahhaha I am just lounging about sucking ice cubes and basically melting. Great. It's weird, I never feel like this in the 35+ C heat in Japan. I don't get it! 8D
