I've got the bare-bones structure of re_viewings put together, hoping to put the finishing touches on this week. If anyone wants to make me a few promotional banners, I wouldn't stop you. :)

I've never actually modded a community before so this should be quite an experience!

Anyway, feel free to click through and poke around. Typed in a brief synopsis of what I plan to do in the profile but I plan to add a sticky post too. I haven't really figured out an official schedule. Do you think asking people to watch two episodes a week is too much?

But now it's midnight and I work tomorrow so no more playing in photoshop tonight!! (but boy was it fun! It has been a long time!!)

This is such a great idea for a community, and community modding is so much fun (at least unless you let it turn into a job/chore)! :D

I've never watched Gilmore Girls before, but I'll keep checking back in case this turns out well and you decide to do a show I'm able to follow along with. And yeah, no. I don't think asking to watch two episodes a week is too much.

Do you plan on doing watching parties with the community?

You're welcome to watch Gilmore Girls with us! :D My plan is to have a spoiler and non-spoiler discussion group each week so anyone who had never seen the show, or has forgotten what happens, can still have a place to talk. :)

Hm, never though about watching parties. Maybe I'll see how many members I get then do a poll. That might be something fun to do for a season finale episode...doubt I'd have the time to organize something like that regularly but maybe it could be a special event or something. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had somehow missed the fact that the viewings were open to new viewers too - that's great! I've never watched Gilmore Girls, and I have no idea if it's something I'd enjoy. Unfortunately I also doubt I'd get Christian to watch it with me. I hope this first run is a success, maybe I can follow along with the next show! ^^;;;

You never know! Gilmore Girls has a pretty broad appeal with lots of quirky characters and the small town charm thing. I know I caught Tim watching over my shoulder several times when I was rewatching the first few epsiodes earlier this year. :)

But I will definitely keep everyone posted about whatever the next show is we decide to rewatch (lots of votes for Buffy already LOL)

This sounds awesome! Modding can be fun, but sometimes a pain. Usually not though. I would say if you want people to watch two eps, just give them the whole week to do it, maybe, and then have the discussion on Sunday when most people are off work. :)

Oooh that's a good idea. Maybe I'll post something at the start of each week with which episodes we are watching and people can post meta links, graphics etc in the comments and then on Fridays I can do a discussion post that includes the links...hm...yes, that gives everyone all weekend to talk.

Well, I figured since you have the whole work to work in 2 40 minute shows, that isn't too bad? it's not like I'm saying you have to watch them both on Monday or anything? I'm assuming that most of the discussion will happen on weekends anyway when people are relaxing, but maybe not. We will see! It really is an experiment for me too!
