HELLOOOOOOOOO NEW FRIENDS! **WAVES** Thank you for joining me here! I really do love livejournal. I've dabbled in a lot of social media as time has gone on, but nothing is more satisfying than a livejournal friendship. Seriously. Glad to have made your acquaintances and I can't wait to get to know you all better!

Today we sat in a hot car and drove in circles. good times. I had this huge list of potential houses that were on sale and I wanted to see them in their actual neighborhoods because I swear the realtors crop out the rest of the town when they put photos up on Zillow/Redfin. We crossed off all but two that we drove by and then we spent time just driving around looking for any areas with "for sale" signs in the lawns and just trying to figure out where the nicer places were that might be in our price range.

And then I came home and made a whole new list of possible homes. And I'm looking at stuff that is just above what our price range should be but I'm hoping that maybe we can talk some of them down since a few of them have been for sale for quite a long time.

Sitting in the car melted my brain though. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer and we're driving up to visits friends in Belcamp, which is about 30+ minutes away.

I think I'm going to play Don't Starve for a little bit and then head to bed. Have to wake up early because Tim's car has no A/C and we are getting that fixed ASAP!

Try searching for the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) in your State. I did a lot of searching there when we were house hunting.

Yeah, Anne Arundel is a weird county because it stretches into some sketchy parts and then has some INSANE (like million dollar homes) right in the middle. I keep trying to find a happy medium of nice house and in our price range with space. I refuse to lose space!! Some of these houses are somehow smaller than our two bedroom apartment!

Our lease is up in Sept/Oct so we would like to find something by August since it takes a month for all the paperwork to go through. I am so over apartment living, and our mortgage would end up being less or the same as our rent so I am so ready!!!

Yikes! :S And I agree! Always see the homes in their natural habitat! It's important to see the neighborhood before you commit to trying for a house!

Yeah, at least now when I look at the map, I have a better idea of how the neighborhoods are set up. They were able to photograph some of the houses in Glen Burnie in a way that didn't show that the neighbor's house was arm lengths away. That's too close for me. I want S P A C E between us. Eve just a little.

I'd like to avoid the Pleasant Valley Sunday kind of homes too where they all look exactly the same and you can tell some developer just plopped them down. CHARACTER IS GOOD!
