my past few days at work

Wednesday night I attended a conference held by the local reading council and hosted a break-out session where I gave teachers tips on how to create booktalk presentations using GIFs.

Yesterday I hosted a My Little Pony Party, which was a big success with 50 kids of all ages. This little brony was my favorite of the group. He was having a blast. But there was a lot of cuteness.

And now I'm going to "grade" the Star Wars quizzes I put out last Saturday to see who wins some Star Wars prizes!

I love my job. :)

It really was. I talked to all the kids about their favorite ponies. It really helps to be a fan, the kids love that a grown-up knows all the names (at least of the "mane six")

Aw, i wish I could do fun stuff like that at our library but our department doesn't offer a lot of public service, plus the whole academic focus thing. I think the university students would be into Star Wars quizzes though lol

You could always see if the local 501st wants to stop by for a Star Wars Day event. You could say it would help reduce student stress to have a Star Wars day LOL. :-)

It was crazy fun but also exhausting. :) But that's why I don't do these programs that often.
