Sylvia gave me a box of her old Barbies to get rid of so I naturally thought maybe I could sell them on eBay for her...

...dear gods, if you want to see something disturbing, go to eBay and do a search for "lot of Barbies".

It's just these random piles of naked dolls.

WTF.

Anyway, if anyone wants Barbies on the cheap, let me know. I don't plan on listing the Barbies for a few weeks since I need to sort them and take photos etc.

I need to take a close look at them all but when I opened the box today, they were definitely played with but they didn't look abused. Their hair was a little frizzy but I didn't see anything that couldn't be fixed with a little TLC. And they all seemed to be clothed LOL. :)

At one point, my daughter had a friend whose parents would throw out her dolls if she failed to keep them clothed. Changing their clothes was fine, but leaving them naked wasn't. I think it was a religious thing (they were LDS) because I can't think of anything else that would explain it.

I had a Barbie I came to refer to as "skin-graft Barbie". She had a close encounter with the heater. :\ She also became lobotomy barbie for some reason because her head split open and I have no idea how/why.

A part of me totally wants in on this because NOSTALGIA but I know I shouldn't be spending money and also I play the Sims now, which is kind of like how I'd play Barbies but with less clean-up haha.
