It wasn't even that she was trying to normalize it, I don't think. I just remember being super shy and embarrassed about it, lol. What eleven or twelve (sixth grade...probably eleven) year old wants to admit that they have their period for the first time? Lol.
Maybe. I know I'm not thrilled with the idea of talking to a doctor about it, and I hate the idea of going to THAT kind of doctor, to the point of being terrified about it.
